What Students Say

Likes

No ragging in campus, plus the behaviour of the seniors and faculty members.
To be honest our campus is not that big . We have busket ball court.
Placement rates are good , most of our students get placed.

Dislikes

There's nothing I disliked to be honest about our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am pursuing BTECH in computer science. I choose this because I wanted to. I had computer science subjects in my 10+2. Most of our faculty members are with PHD. Faculty members are so friendly, and also our seniors are supportive. Term exams were tough , but if you follow the classes regularly you can answer it easily.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 170000 per year

Internships Opportunities

College made us open internshala account. There we can learn for free and apply for internships, every year doing minimum 1 internship is mandatory so we have to do extra courses so that we can build our skills and apply for internships.

Placement Experience

From 5th-6th sem ( maybe ) students are eligible for placements. I don't know anything about this thing . Highest package is 74LPA as I know , it was offered to 6 students. 90% students get their placements. I will look for jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our semister fee is 85k ,which is 1700000 per year, this is not affordable for everyone. But with scholarships and loans it's ok. Many of our friends are getting Swami Vivekananda scholarship for which I'm not eligible for. I got no scholarships .

Campus Life

In January we have the cultural fest EUTOPIA, in February we have URECKON the tech fest, and in May or March I'm not sure we have Ecstasia. Books are available mostly, but if it's not available they will provide ebooks. Classrooms are cleaned everyday morning. There are various groups and clubs , I'm a member of singing club and painting club.

Admission

I gave IEMJEE exam , it's the entrance exam, but I didn't score well as there, so after my 12th result, i got more than 75% ( it's the minimum criteria) , so I got direct admission in this college the day after my hs result.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

If you come to this college this college is good the teachers are friendly and you will get the campus from the college if you study hard.

You can take admission in UEM Kolkata through IEMJEE Entrance Test or Direct Admission by giving 10,000/-.
