Dislikes

Very less number of holidays around 10 to 20 days in year
Long college hours that is from 9:30am till 4:15pm . And someday after college lectures and guidance.
Compulsory two patent and two personal project and have to complete two internship before 2nd year

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is better then other private college according to me. Since the faculty member follow and complete it very seriously and make us do our best. Almost all faculty have done PHD In about interval of 1month 25 days two term exam are conducted of 30 marks in eack subject with internal viva, practicals and in end sem 100 marks paper.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for 4 year B. Tech CSE course is 621000. Now the fees had increase by 10k in each semester. There is money scholarship for students getting 85% or 90% and above in 10 & 12 boards. In 3rd year they make us seat for GATE exam. In 4th year many IT companies come with average package.

Campus Life

UREKCON conducted in month of February, ECTASIA in January. Library is opened for 24/7 . Cricket, football, basketball, tennis, badminton all these competition are conducted and have different chapters.

Admission

The admission process was based on some criteria which state that percentage of class 10 & 12 should be above 85% and will get scholarship as well of 10K along with decent entrance exam (JEE) . I gave IEMJEE exam where I clear cut off of 60 percentile and got selected. Getting admission for core CSE is bit difficult but one can get having good JEE rank. There is no application fees required. The admission should be strictly done on the basis of JEE rank.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

If you come to this college this college is good the teachers are friendly and you will get the campus from the college if you study hard.

You can take admission in UEM Kolkata through IEMJEE Entrance Test or Direct Admission by giving 10,000/-.
