Likes

Environments around the college is pollution free.
Professors, H.O.D and seniors are helpful.
No ragging anywhere at all. That is really surprising for a c tier govt. college

Dislikes

Placement rate is too low even for a c tier govt. college like this.
Travelling is very poor as the college is 18 Km away from the main city.
There is no hostel for !st and @nd year male students till now.

Course Curriculum Overview

Surprisingly in previous years performane and placements of ECE department is better than CSE department. so I went for that and you can upgrade your branch if you want . Here the facalty members, Professors, Seniors every one is very helpfull,

The placementy rater is not that high its only around 80% with average Package of 6.5 LPA. You have to try your luck in off campous as you can not fully depend on college. Although placement rate is low the highest packadge is 24 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The average placement is only 6.5 LPA and placement rate is also only 80%. So you have to push your self one step ahed to be better than anyone. The Average Placement of ECE branch is better than other branch. Fees for CSE and ECE is 6500 per semister and for other branches is only 4500 rupees

Campus Life

There is very nice environment and nature around the college campous as the college is for away from the main city. Campous is not tha big but you can have a healthy social life here.There are many sports and clultural,social work and science club here what you can join if you want.

Admission

You have to secure rank in WBJEE entrance exam. Then you need to apply for WBJEE counciling, from where you will be given a college according to your rank and prefference.Where If you have put this college in the list and your rank matched to their criteria you will be selected for admission.For general cadidates if you scored around 7800 rank, you can easyly go for any department in this college

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

A brief overview of RKMGEC

The main reason students come to this college is because of the fact that fees are affordable and also this is purely government college. Admission process is quite easy you need all the necessary documents (Aadhar, Pan, etc) along with your WBJEE scorecard and rankcard.
