I choose this couse bcoz my rank got wasn't that good Faculty are very helpful and girl :boys ratio maybe around 1:5 Some Faculty are iit graduates n teaching method is very smooth and understandable Our exams has yet to be taken..so i cannot comment on them

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is very low as compared to other engineering college as it is a govt. College. We are given assistance to avail different scholarships which is very helpful Scholarship include svcm,k2 etc which many have already availed

Campus Life

This is my 1st year so i am not aware of the months, but annual fest do take place and on a larger scale. Books are very much available to be issued from the library Classroom is well equipped with projector and other necessities Sports competition do take place and is very competitive

Hostel Facilities

Hostel room has enough space but doesn't have a cupboard and study table which is necessary Meals are provided 2 times and is quite okay..sunday we have a special menu and we are given complimentary food 3 days Registration for hostel accommodation was quite easy Hostel is better than pg outside

Hostel Fee: INR 14000 per year

Admission

Eligibility: through wbjee examination Application forms are available at Google site or wbjee site I am General category so didn't got any reservation , other category do have reservation benefits I think everything is running quite well in terms of admission process

Reality of IIT KGP

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.

A brief overview of RKMGEC

The main reason students come to this college is because of the fact that fees are affordable and also this is purely government college. Admission process is quite easy you need all the necessary documents (Aadhar, Pan, etc) along with your WBJEE scorecard and rankcard. Other important fact to mention is that only students who are permanent resident of West Bengal can seek for admission. You need a domicile certificate for that....Read More
