Electrical Engineering is my dream. That's why I choose this course. Facultys are very helpful. Yes facultys are well educated and teaching method is very good.yes of course it's very hard to pass this examination, but I crack it in my 1st attempt

Form 7 semester the students are available become eligible for campus placement. Lnt, google, tata power ect. Highest package is 24 lpa, and average package is 7 lpa. 90percent students get placement. Placement

Fees and Financial Aid

The course is of four years. In every year we pay nine thousand eight hundred as collage fees in a year. There is 3 scholarship by government - svmcm scholarship, mcm scholarship, and oasis scholarship

Campus Life

The annual festival of our college is jaclat in month of March and our Techfest is sristi which is held December. In our collage library there is all types of books are available. Our collage organized intern collage cricket, football tournament, and we have a organization name jyoti which helps the poor students by reading them. And our collage join in nss group

Hostel Facilities

In a room there are three students are available. A bed a table and a wardrobe of each student. The quality of meal is good. Fish chicken egg vegetable all are in our menu. The locality is good. You need to permission to the hostel super, the you register to the hostel.

At first you should appear in wbjee examination. The application form will provide in wbjee.nic.in website. Then you took part in online Counciling in the same website. Then you obtain college as per your cut off. The admination date will be provide by the college which you get.Your need to be a good rank in this exam. It is a four years course. There are 6 branch in my college. Computer science engineering, information technology, electronic and communication engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering. Placement Experience:

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from 7 and 8 semester also their are many placement on thee intern companies. thier are total of 50 t0 60 companies that visits year which leads to very good placement percentage, in mining its above 90 percent. companies which come are infosys, microsoft, google , coal india, tcs, pwc etc. the higest pacage was 39 lacs by coal india. as mentioned above the placement is very good and almost everybranch placement is between 79 to 95 percentage of student which are placed, their are many mass recruiter if you didnt get the best pacakge you still have the chance to get a good package from the mass recruiter. my plan after degree is to advance in computer science even if i dont have the branch but i have the passion to do coding and become a web developer also i will try to get some more degree like mba and mtech and i will also try if i get selection to study abroad.

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I applied to a few other government engineering colleges but i ended up choosing JGEC.The main reasons: JGEC is a well established,fully government owned autonomous college,with good accreditation.It also has a long history since 1961,which made me trust its academic environment.Compared to other colleges i applied to ,JGEC felt more stable and credible.It also has a reasonable structure and good campus infrastructure,labs and oppurtunities for intership .There is also a good scope for higher studies like GATE.The marks vs rank went extremely high in WBJEE 2025.That's why i didn't get a college i applied for which is near my home. You can take admission by giving WBJEE and JELET only.As it is a government college you can only take admission if you get a good rank .There is also different cut-offs for diff catagory.The overall admission process is was very smooth and systematic....Read More

According to my West Bengal joint entrance examination rank I said for the counselling in the first round I got Kalyani Government Engineering College with IT department but that was with the reservation under EWS quota with rank 2869. As I was not able to get me EWS certificate my admission there was cancelled and then according to my preference I got Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College with electronic and communication engineering department.
