Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have choosen Ba program History + Political Science as my preference . Faculty students ratio is 1:30 average Qualification is PhD holders and their teaching method is really on next level and different from school teachers.

Placement Experience

3.5

There are placements for the science and commerce students . Different companies visited and provide different packages to the students. But in my course there are no placements and you have to find any other alternative.

Fees and Financial Aid

As of my course fees is Rupees 23575. For 1 year and you can calculate the total fees accordingly to your course.yes, I agree that the fees is high with respect to other colleges of Delhi University .I don't get any financial assistance.

Campus Life

3

There are different societies in the college like upsc civil services society, dance society, debate society, ncc ,nss aarambh and many other .But will recommend these are wastage of time.Infrastructure of the college is average. Campus Life is amazing.

Admission

First of all you must have completed class 12 from any recognised board and you have to appear for the CUET UG entrance exam and there are different eligibility for different courses and for different colleges under the university of Delhi .The eligibility for my course i.e. ba program was that you can be from any stream .So after CUET different courses have different cut offs so accordingly you get the course by your preferences.

Other Applied Colleges

Chandigarh University - [CU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Computer Science)

I have changed my stream from science to arts and I get seat in this college so I leave the same.

Placement Experience:

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

Placement Experience:

For placements, there's not much on campus placement programs. Our placement cells are active though. Time to time they keep us posted about the upcoming internship or job opportunities and even invite various organisations for placements. You can even look for off campus placement programs and teachers are very helpful in this. They even offer letter of recommendation for the internship opportunities upon request.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.

Area that should be improved that is treat every student similarly without any discrimination. Faculty don't even tdke action on sol, IGNOU and NCWEB students. So I think it should be improved firstly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very broad and relevant, it covers both theory and practical aspects of the subject. It is very nice to prepare for further higher studies, though more real-world cast studies and interactive teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant to the current aspects of real world. It is also very focused on the practical component of the subject and helps us know how to apply our theoretical concepts in real life. Aspects that influenced me were: the practicality, the relatibiltiy of concepts and the testing approaches as well.

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option

The course curriculum I took is okay considering the low placement percentage from the college's side which is I would say sometimes bad and good at the same time as the students can find their own way around such things. Faculty just complete the topics. we have to study ourselves.
