Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have a strong inclination towards management subjects hence I chose industrial engineering and management. A lot of people don't know about the course and also undermine it but the subject is great and there are ample opportunities in the field in India, but mostly there are huge opportunities abroad as industrial engineers are needed the most over there. The need for industrial engineers in India as well is projected to grow over time. Teachers are friendly and we also have a proctor system where a faculty is assigned to 4-5 students of the batch and they take care so all the academic and extracurricular records of the students and assist with any problems. The semester-end exams are always postponed but internal exams are on time. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate and it's fairly easy to gain good marks if you are studious.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internship is compulsory for every person in the college. It's an important part of the curriculum. The college provides the opportunity to get an internship in your particular branch, but not in another field. You get an internship according to the subjects you study in your branch.

Placement Experience

5

Students are eligible for placements since the 7th sem. Amazon, Mercedes, Microsoft, Samsung, and various startups visit the campus due to its location in the IT hub. The average package in the circuital branch is around 13lpa. The highest package is 55lpa from IT branches. 80 percent of students are placed every year, the rest pursue their higher education.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are 244000 per annum. Scholarships are provided for people taking admission through KCET. The fees are mostly the same throughout the course. Initially, for the first year admission you need to pay 20k extra skill lab fee. The college assists you with internships at your particular branch and good companies visit the campus for placements due to its location in Bangalore.

Campus Life

5

The life here is very happening. Infrastructure of college is great. Fests are conducted round the year. There are clubs for everything - coding , finance, dance , entrepreneurship, electric cars, drones, photography, anime , literature you just have to take the name. Sports include basketball, kabbadi, badminton, football, hockey etc. The college has three libraries with very good amenities. The campus has nice architecture and greenery. It's in the heart of the city so life outside college is also very fun.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are numerous pg and hostels located around the area. The hostels affiliated with the college are quite expensive with fees of around 1.60 lakhs per year( food, housekeeping, and laundry included). But the PGs are affordable and have all the necessary amenities, though they are a little far from campus- at around 10 to 15 minutes walking distance.

Admission

I took admission through Comedk. Comedk is conducted every year for students all over India. It's a fairly easy exam in comparison to JEE mains. You can take the exam after class 12th or after a drop year. The exam allows you to study in the best colleges of Karnataka, especially in cities like Bangalore and Mysore which provide you with a lot of exposure as they are IT hubs of India. This is the reason why the placements of all the colleges here are great - for any circuital or core branches. There are reservations for people belonging to KKR and HKR regions, but other than that there are no reservations. You can take admission to these colleges through KCET as well but this exam is exclusively for people belonging to Karnataka. Apart from this, these colleges invite admissions from the management quota as well. If your finances allow, taking admission through management quota is also worth it here.

Other Applied Colleges

BMS College of Engineering - [BMSCE] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science and Engineering)

MSRIT has better infrastructure and exposure in terms of opportunities.

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities
