Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties are good.(if you're a Bengali you'll love them). Most of them speak Bengali only so sometimes it is difficult to understand but although it's perfectly fine to go to college . There are only semester exams and internal exams.

Internships Opportunities

No intership till now but as per my seniors you'll get it in sem 5 like marketing and HR in various local companies of Kolkata but expectations are next to 0 from this college in field of internship. That's it from my side.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is the MSP of this college. Per semester fees is Rs. 835/- (if you're general category) Examination fees is just Rs. 295/- Here Scholarships are also provided to resident of West Bengal. Placements are average.

Campus Life

Campus is not so big. You get only classroom library and washroom is not so good. You get a indoor game room where you find table tennis carrom etc. There are many cultural events in college like the annual fest and debate etc.

Admission

Just fill the application form and put in your 12th Marks. Best 4 will be selected (irrespective of any compulsory subject except English) . Later on 7-8 lists will be out and you will me selected on merit basis. They calculate percentile for merit.

Placement Experience:

Idk but i guess students become eligible from 2nd or 3rd sem. Idk what is the company visited but the placements are very good i heard that, avg package varies 2.4 lpa I guess. Right now i am doing internship so as of now i don't have plans.

Most of the students also get placement opportunities whether large or small package The opportunity is given to all degree whether it be bcom or bcom hons . Any student who does not get placed can easily use the degree to get a high paying off campus placements and to go to any good college or stay in this college for their post graduation.

The course curriculum is backdated and should be improvised as it doesn't give any exposure of present industry knowledge. The frequency of exams is that exams are held after 6 months on semester basis and are easy to pass and majority of the students pass this semester easily.

Quite an Average Government College which lacks in infrastructure, faculty, and placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I mentioned, the course curriculum is outdated and no new industry knowledge is being taught. Projects and assignments are also bookish and are just for sake. Teaching methods by teachers are also bookish and backward. The frequency of exams are after every 6 months and are pretty manageable and easy.

Goenka college of commerce and business administration is the second best college in Kolkata and the best college under Calcutta University. Hence it has a brand value. Proud to be Goenkan

I got admission in Aliah University which is in New Town Kolkata I got rank 12. I applied in Shri Shikshathan College also and got admission in first list. I rejected both the colleges as Aliah University though it is a reputed college but the placement committee is not as good as Goenka College of commerce. I applied for BBA + MBA integrated program in Aliah University but I wanted to pursue BCom honours in accountancy and finance thus I rejected Aliah University. Shri shikshayatan college on the other hand is another reputed college in which I applied for bcom honours in accountancy and finance I rejected Shri shikshayatan college as no doubt Goenka College is way more better than Shree shikshayatan and Shri shikshayatan is comparatively very much expensive in comparison with goenka. Shri shikshayatan takes around 250000 tuition fee on the other hand Goenka College charges only 4090 rs for 4 years....Read More
