Remarks

Good for a bachelors degree. Bad for a Masters degree

Entrance Preview

Through the GATE examination. No interview process. Doing Mtech in VLSI design

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Well the Mtech VLSI course is not very good. The labs are inadequately equipped as we need industrial EDA tools for VLSI design course. Almost no options for electives (although many are shown in the official curriculum).

Internships Opportunities

Nope, No internship opportunities for Mtech VLSI and electronics.

Placement Experience

4

The only core company for VLSI design that came this year was NXP and San DIsk. The placements are pretty decent here as we were given a chance in big names like Amazon and Microsoft. although you need to brush up on your c++

College Events

5

in terms of events, the college is pretty good lots of seminars from visiting professionals.PECFEST is one of the most prominent fests here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The hostel fees are expensive 55 k. and the rooms allotted are barely adequate as 2 people are living in a room allotted for a single person. while the course fee is 30 k which is affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

just the GATE scholarship. which almost every student gets who gets into the college through GATE examination. although many teachers are a bit cranky to even fill the scholarship form

Campus Life

4

yes, lots of clubs to explore. Really awesome in terms of the campus and environment and the students. But lacks in higher education

Hostel Facilities

4

As stated earlier the hostel fees are 55k for the first year 2 of us were living in tiny rooms(made for a single person) without any fee compensation + the mess bills are extra. The food is still decent.

Exam Structure

Well, the exams were still easy. The labs almost useless as the teachers focused on "lab files" instead of the knowledge gained by students.

Faculty

2

The quality of faculty is somewhat average or below average. I will not take names but most of the faculty of VLSI design barely has sufficient knowledge to do a thesis under them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course cirriculum is good it is designed in perfect manner. Course contains all good subjects which give us knowledge and real life experience like how life goes and what problems are going to happen and how to solve them in real life . Although teaching is good but i must say we should be given some more practical knowledge so that we can relate more imaith real life. Exams are of moderate level not easy not difficult if you have done your studies in a good and thorough manner.

Placement Experience:

The policy says that by the last year of the course students are eligible for campus placement but things have been a lot different in the pandemic. This college has been visited by Google, Microsoft, Reliance, and Infosys on a regular basis. After my master's I plan to continue my study for Ph.D. The mentors here especially the HOD has always offered great insight into my ideas of communication that I wish to explore.
