Likes

The infrastructure is best. The building is nice and fully air conditioned
The machines are new and all the laboratory facilities are very good.
All the teachers are good and understanding.

Dislikes

The placement opportunities are limited if you are opting for MCA
The university is located at a remote place away from locality.
The student teacher ratio is horrible. more teachers needed to be recruited.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum for Mca is not good in MAKAUT. More or less the same type of syllabus is covered as in BSC Honours of Computer Science. Some extra papers can be seen or else all the papers are already present in the BSC hons standard, students from CS background will find very few papers which are new. The faculty members are very good. They are cooperative and understanding towards the students. Though the student-teacher ratio is horrible in MAKAUT. A very less number of teachers are there in the IT department, much less than required.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 21000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Our fees were Rs.20600 per semester for 4 semesters and 1200 exam fees per semester. approximately 21k per semester. If you are from West Bengal, then you can avail SVMCM scholarship if you have the necessary grades for it's eligibility. Many students from my batch availed for SVMCM which offers Rs. 120000 in two years for MCA students.

Campus Life

The Infrastructure is top-notch, no doubt about it. It's better than most of the colleges in our state. Big spacious football fields are also there. More construction work is under process to increase the infrastructure.

Admission

I had to appear for an entrance exam called JECA and secure ranks within 400-500 to get a chance at MAKAUT. You have to be a science graduate with Mathematics as your subject at least as a pass subject during graduation.
