Remarks
Eligibility for MCA is a student of BCA, B.Sc Computer Science, or Any graduate having Mathematics as a core subject. Students have to sit for the entrance exam WB JECA. One can expect to get a seat in this college if he scores up to 1000 All India rank. The admission process is smooth. Only one time do students have to visit Kolkata main office for document verification.
Course Curriculum Overview
For me, MCA is having a master's degree. I love Exploring and Learning Computers. The faculty of this college are well trained and have many years of teaching experience. The teachers are very friendly. All teachers come from big institutes. Exams were held within 6 months. And passing exams are not that difficult if u follow the proper instructions.
Placement Experience
Placement starts from 3rd Semester. Generally, the college starts sending emails to students about placement from the month of November. But still there are lots of problems like many students doesn't receive emails and updates. If complaint the authority doesn't care.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is pretty similar for all master's degrees. It is less than 1 lakh rs. for the full course. Students can apply for different scholarships but the majority of students choose the web government scholarship which is aikyashree, SVMCM covers mostly 50 percent of the course fees.
Campus Life
Many small and big fest is organized in this college. On average every month college arrange fest for all the students or for few streams. There is an open street Library for the students and also a library building where any students can study or take books by showing a Students ID Card. The college also arranges many sports.
