Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I found mass communication a very creative subject which gives me the opportunity to explore so many aspects of the world. The faculty-student ratio is very good. There is one teacher for every 8-10 students which makes everything so easy and accessible for students Some of the faculty members are highly qualified whereas some are just average. They have good teaching methods. It contains practical learning. This college has its own community radio which is run by students of BMJC. Exams were very timely and it wasn't very difficult to pass. The questions were very basic and general.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study is high compared to other subjects at du but it feels nearly worth it because of all the resources provided by the college. I got no job financial assistance or scholarship on campus so I can't tell anything about that

Campus Life

4

The annual fest is splendour and it is conducted in the month of March. Other than this so many types of fest and functions are being organised throughout our year. The library in this college is a big plus point. It has a huge library easily accessible to students and provides lots of books and journals. The classroom has all essential amenities including smart class Campus has a good environment for extracurricular activities. It organises and encourages students into this.

Admission

You have to give CUET exams for this now and if you get marks that fulfill the cutoff then only you can get admission. Everything can be found on the website of rla.du Cut off is low for reservation criteria people. No, it was all easy and quick

Other Applied Colleges

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
