Course Curriculum Overview

I choose the course because I did my diploma in mechanical engineering and the particular branch is famous in this college. Faculty to student ratio is finely balanced there are groups divided of 40 students and classes are taken accordingly. Faculty consists of both assistant professors and professors with guest faculty but mostly some professors would be taking your lecture because they are very much renowned in their particular felid. There are 2 Minors, 2 Quizzes along with 1 Major at the end of the semester they are set to whatever is taught in the class mostly easy level.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 70000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement in the mechanical branch is the plus point here there are companies available from the start of the final year. Mahindra, SML, Godrej, and Honda, etc. are some of those who visited the college this year. The highest Package offered by the company was 10 Lakhs by the godrej. The average package goes around 4.5 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study is the plus point is this college one can complete his/her degree in under 3.5lakhs. Semester fees for the Undergraduate come to around 35k per semester and one can avail of the scholarship if he/she has the quota or weak economical background.

Campus Life

Techfest, Foodfest and the cultural fest are organized every year by the students in the month of September to November. There are libraries in every department and one is the main library which is the central library books of all sorts are available. Classrooms have all the basic equipment attached to them for the study purpose like smartboards, projectors, etc. For sports, there are many courts for different sports like badminton, soccer, etc.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel gives you 1 Chair, 1 Study table, and 1 Bed with Almirah per student. Mess meal is not that great but that depends on the mess of a particular hostel. For the hostel registration is done while filling in your first semester fees you have the option for the hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 4500 per year

Admission

The Exam is taken by the university itself for lateral entry admission in B.E 2nd year. The exam is a Common Entrance test that includes questions based on your specialized branch and covers 150 Marks. The form is filled out through the official website of SLIET for around 1800 Rupees. Reservation is valid if you have a quota certificate.

Honest Review - Thapar University

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 6th Sem. More than 300 companies visit the placement drive. Highest 43LPA And Average 9LPA. I guess the Percentage of students getting placements is around 80% but the Computing branches have 100% placements. I have no plans right now.

Well LPU is one of the best private in the city of this country which is providing all the facilities and it is over 600 campus the placements are very good of this University, providing world class facilities like library, campus café, education, faculties. Approx. 660+ companies visiting to lpu every year like Bosch, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, cognizant and mass recruitment companies are also coming here every year

Good college with good faculty

Remarks:

The best thing I found in this college is that it has a friendly environment. Ragging here is strictly prohibited and everyone in the college adhere to it. Coming to some negatives is that the infrastructure of the college is not well developed. As it has been in Chandigarh since 1953 only a few buildings are well developed rest all the buildings are as old as the college.

Remarks:

College is very much concerned about attendance criteria that is the students having attendance less than 75% get detained that is they are not allowed to give semester exams. They will be marked absent in the exam and have to give it in the next semester.

Remarks:

Good college is great in terms of study and material being offered to us the facilities provides to us of ro and 24/7 electricity and water wifi campus Good interaction ability building in student. Bad core companies placements is less hostel rooms for 2nd 3rd year not up to the mark of construction.

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I applied for several colleges and got selected for IIFPT Thanjavur and GGU Bilaspur but I wanted to study mechanical engineering and out of all options, this college was best known for its mechanical engineering course and lab facilities. I choose this college honestly as it was a centeral government college under josaa and has significantly less fees which would help me save for my master's . Internship apportunities in SLIET, Longowal

I applied in sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology in first seven round but I got electronic engineering which I didn't want, so I waited for special round and then I got Computer science. I am in general so I didn't get any quota for admission but obc and sc st have quota in the college. To get into sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology, you have to give entrance exam and the cut off of the college generally goes around 130-140 for general category.
