Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is a bit limited as for now but post the NEP there are several changes made in the content. The last year of college you get to choose the subjects to specialise in the field of your choice. The faculty is very dedicated and helpful.

Placement Experience

The placements of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College are not the best. The packages are average and EY is the only one of the Big 4 that comes for recruitment. Most students opt for off campus placements or further studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is higher as compared to other colleges in the University of Delhi but it is justified by the infrastructure provided. It is also one of the very few colleges in DU with air conditioning which becomes a huge pro during summers. Scholarships are available every now on then for students who need them.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College has one of the best instrastructures in DU as it is a new building. The college campus has a decent canteen and hostel as well. There are various societies that students can join during their course. The sports ground is very small, but students try to make the best out of it.

Admission

The acceptance for BCom (hons) in Deen Dayal Updhyaya College, University of Delhi is completely merit-based and the average cut off is about 95% for admission. And 1% quota is available for girls during the admission process.

Placement Experience:

The College offers both internship as well as placement opportunities to the students . Yearly, the college hosts an internship fair for the students to have Live interviews with the companies at the fair. This gives us a real world experience with the job markets in Accounting , Finance , Consulting and Marketing. The placement cell at JMC is an active society wherein students are provided the opportunity to sit for placements in a professional format . The average package at Jesus and Mary College for the Commerce Dept is about 800000 indian rupees , which is an upper edge compared to various Delhi University colleges.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell in Dyal Singh college. Some of the few visiting companies of the college are tata consultancy, pregrad, prisco, DeltaX etc. the placements of the college are below average having the average package of 400000 pa . However there are a lot of internship opportunities for students where they can learn about the industry.

Venky is somewhere you can have the proper College life

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite good.You can get an average of 6.5 lpa just by doing BCom which is pretty good and it can go even higher .You can also pursue a professional course like ca or cfa as this college is not very strict and you will be able to manage your time.I have hear that big companies like delloite and Sonari have hired from Venky.

Delhi university in-depth analysis

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate 5 star to the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. Delhi university provides wide variety of courses to choose from. I'm glad that Delhi university is introducing the new subjects those teach moral values mainstream subjects. Frequency of exams is pretty well you just have to give exams 2 times a year but the problem is they start admission just before the two or three months of exam. From 5 or 7th semester the students become eligible and various big companies like Deloitte and big 4 have visited and give various offers to the students highest package is 21.5 lpa and average package is around 5-7 lakhs pa My plans are not sure I'm looking into videography field by travelling as much as I can.
