Course Curriculum Overview

Electrical is a core branch. you can easily get a good practical experience in the field. Also, the electrical placement is decent enough. You can get placement in the core, non-tech and tech fields based on your interest

There is a proper semester for Internsips. Generally the last semester is considered intern semester. College provides various companies with stipends varying from 0-100000. There can be different profiles like non tech profiles like consulting. Tech profiles and core GET profiles

Very good companies come for campus placements. From mass recruiters to big mnc to startups. You will get ample opportunity to get placed in a good company currently the highest package is 57lpa and avg package is near about 10-12lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is not that good. The college is a bit overpriced however there are different types of scholarships that you can avail of. There is a fee hike policy of 10% each year. You can get a scholarship based on your semester marks

Campus Life

There is an annual fest conducted named Saturnalia. It is north India's largest fest. The classrooms are fully air conditioned and top of the class. You will never get disappointed by campus life. A good environment is there

Admission

JEE main was required, apart from that Thapar also provides a form that has to be filled out on their website. The admission process is transparent. To get a good branch you need approximately 95 percentile in JEE. You can also opt for admission based on +2 marks.

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is good and it is improving since then. TPO looks after this process and it is responsible to call comapnies to the college and discuss about the eligibility of the students who can appear for the placements. For internships, students in the 3rd year appear for it while for placements 4th year students can appear. The average package is approx. 8-9 LPA while the highest has gone to 64 LPA during my college duration. Almost all students get placement.

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Placement Experience:

It gives excellent placement offers with around 270 companies visits. The highest package for 2025 passng batch is 54LPA with a average package of 10 to 12 LPA. Top companies like google , apple ,microsoft,amzon ,Barclays ,deloitte and many more offers in thapar.

Placement Experience:

College does provide a decent number of companies to students to get placed but as per seniors Companies come with good package but students fail to grab them. Students are eligible for placement form 7th semester. As data given to us from t&p for this year currently the minimum package is 6 lpa and average is touching 8 but don't get excited it's just the starting months of placement season. My plan is to get a good college for post grad as that was my plan from the start ??

Placement Experience:

Students became eligible for placement after 3rd year. Google, Adobe, de shaw, L&T, Schneider, Amazon etc visit campus The highest package was 42 lacs and the median package is 8.1 lacs. More than 90% get placed.

inside campus walls

i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here....Read More

I applied to IGDTUW , VIT vellore and other colleges i got into both in VIT i got CS but it was too far away plus the placement percentage there is comparatively low and IGDTUW i didn't have mg prefered branch.
