Course Curriculum Overview
I always want to do Btech CSE in a good government college because my family is not financially strong so I would study in a private college But I found this college is best for me and the culture of this university is very good. There are several engineering branches and each branch has its respective faculties and they are very good. All faculties of the department are higly qualified professors some of them had completed their Ph.D. degrees abroad. As This is an autonomous college so question paper is quite difficult every year but if you focus on what teaches taught in the class you would never fail.
Placement Experience
At Aliah University, you are eligible for campus placements in the 5th semester. There are many companies that come here like TCS, Capgemini, and some other MNC companies. On our campus, the highest package offered to a girl from B tech CSE which is around 50 LPA. Around 50-70% get placed every year. If you have the required skills then there is a higher chance that you get placed in campus placement. My plan after getting this degree is to do MCA from Nits by clearing the NIMCET exam.
Fees and Financial Aid
As this is a government autonomous college so the fees for each semester are very low. In my BCA course, I have to pay 7000 per semester which is very low as compared to other universities. And also there are scholarships like SVMCM for West Bengal resident students and NSP for other state students. I am studying in 1st year, and I have seen that some of our seniors got placed in top mnc companies so placement is quite good on campus. If you have skills then you have a chance to get a job on campus.
Campus Life
In Aliah University there are two campuses, first one is in the park circus, Kolkata which is for Arts and the second one is in Newtown which is for B tech Bsc and BBA, and all pg courses. It has around 20 acres of land on the Newtown campus which is very beautiful. There are hostels, a library, a canteen, football ground which makes the campus more beautiful.
Admission
If Someone wants to get admission to B tech they have two choices of entrance exams. AUAT (Aliah University Admission Test ) and WBJEE(West Bengal Joint Entrance examination). And admission to other UG courses like BCA, Bsc is done on the basis of the AUAT exam (100 marks ). The Rank needed for the BCA course at Aliah University that is you have to get under 300 rank in AUAT for getting this course in Aliah University.
