Inspiria: A quick glance

I chose this course because of how it delves into the technicalities and complexities of developing software, the concept of AI as well as how technology can help benefit our society and I would also like to say about the soft skills programme offered by the college that has transformed my personality a lot; it has helped me become more confident, improved my public speaking skills and has also upped my leadership skills.

Students can opt for internships in various institutions and join roles in managements, creative director, software developer, frontend, backend, full-stack etc., . There are paid opportunities for those who qualify company standards and demands, with a minimum stipend of ?3,000 monthly.

Students are eligible for internhips from 4th sem onwards, provided they have no backlogs and are well equipped for skills demanded by companies. The college provides good internships and job placements in reputable companies such as TCS, Wipro, Amazon etc,.[for computer science departement] with an average package of 3.5 LPA. The college has achieved a well rounded record of 100% placements[T&Cs applied] for 3 consecutive batches now[2019-22, 2020-23, 2021-24].

So, admission fees are ?54,800[including activity fees(?2,800) and a ?10,000 caution deposit[refundable] after course completion.] The fees for the BCA course are ?45,000[inclusive of lab fees, development fees and miscellanous] per semester i.e., ?2,70,00 for 3 years and there are merit based scholarships[Wings scholarship] available of upto 30%. There is no caste based differentiation for fees.

The college holds fests and events year round, focusing on all aspects such as cultural, technical, media, sports activities etc. The institution celebrates and appreciates every culture and celebrates with great festivities. Our library is well equipped with the latest books on industry trends and corporate culture, exam preparation etc,. The annua sports day is celebrated in the winter months, with a wide range of games such as badminton, volleyball, pickleball etc., on industry standard size courts and fields. We are the first and only institution[as of 2024-25] in North Bengal to have a Toastmaster's club with dedicated membership and activities, even NSS and Yuva club[Yi, Young Indians] club are present in this college.

In contrast to other colleges, which focus solely on rote learning, Inspiria offers a holistic, 360° approach to learning by offering practical, industrial level exposure and helping students explore themselves beyond academia. This is what makes it a new age college, fit for the needs of Industry 4.0, where students are trained in academia as well as vital soft skills and corporate culture. This college offers PAN India networking opportunities and also has a job simulation program for 2nd year students, where they get ready to embrace office work without hurdles.

Overall, the faculty to student ratio is quite balanced with a 1:10 teacher-to-student ratio and the professors are well experienced and skilled in their domains. All the professors have masters degrees from reputed institutions located in India as well as abroad. They present well rounded knowledge and have a deep understanding of critical concepts and are quite helpful to students. There are hardly any backlog students as our teachers ensure core learning and regularly evaliate us on our skills and knowledge through rigorous workshops and masterclasses as well as advanced technically relevant classes. They make us well equipped with industry skills, ready to have a shining career ahead.

There is a dedicated gym in the C-block with various equipments and there are multiple eateries on each floor, each serving their own specialty food. Overall, the food is nice and there are sperate hostels for boys and girls with monthly canteen system. Campus runs from 9 am to 6 pm on regular days and hostel gates close by 8:30 pm.
