Internships for MTECH CSE at NIT Jalandhar

Eligibility: B TECH and ABOVE CUT-OFF GATE SCORE. Usually, a GATE Score of around 540 in the general category can get you a seat for MTECH at NIT JALANDHAR. Application Procedure: Apply through the CCMT portal after clearing the FATE exam usually the PORTAL opens in April every year

Course Curriculum: Sem 1: 5 Subjects. Sem 2: 5 Subjects Sem 3: 2 Subjects and Thesis Work. Sem 4: THESIS WORK There is no choice given in Subjects you'll have to opt for those which are in the Curriculum which is the same for everyone. faculty Students ratio: 1: 20The faculties have a Ph.D. and relevant experience in the field of teaching. Most of them are quite good at teaching but you might be disappointed with some of them. Mostly you'll be taught through PPTs which might not be pleasing to many students. There are 2 minor exams and a Major exam every semester. Minor Exams carry 20 marks each and have 1 hour. The exam difficulty is moderate and you'll be asked questions about what has been taught in the class

In MTech, the internship opportunities are lesser than in BTECH but still, you'll get opportunities from companies like Intel, Microsoft, etc. The internship period is around 6 months and might end up getting a preplacement offer as well. You usually get a Stipend as well ranging from 15k to 40k.

You can start appearing in Placements for 2nd year of Mtech. The CSE department has the best placement among all departments. Almost 80 to 90 percent would be placed. The average package for MTech is around 6 LPA. But it can go as high as 40 LPA if you have the potential.

The Tuition fee is around 1 Lac per annum. Since you'd get a Stipend of Rs 12400 per month, your fee expenses would ve met by that. If you are in the self sponsored category and not getting a Stipend you can apply for Scholarships like MOMA, ST scholarship, State Government Scholarships, etc

There is an annual Cultural fest called UTKANSH wherein you'll some great opportunities to perform and watch students and some celebrities as well. There is also a tech fest called TECHNI held every year. Other than them there are many other small fests and events held around the year. There is a large Central Library and an attached reading room as well. You can find all your course books there and read in the AC hall attached to it. You can play all the indoor and outdoor games at the campus as there is infrastructure for Cricket, Basketball, Football, Sprinting, Volleyball, Tennis, and Table Tense. There is a central Gymna8and a small Gym in almost every hostel.

You'll have to share your room with one older student usually also from the same batch. You'll get a 10 * 10 room with facilities like: Wardrobe Beds Table Chair WiFi Facility Balcony The mess has a diverse range of food for you. You'll get almost everything ranging from Chicken to Raita in mess. You'll be charged as per how much you eat. You can have: Paratha Rice DAL KADI DOSA NAAN ROTIS PAV BAJI TOAST BUTTER EGGS ETCYou can opt for a hostel at the time of admission and you'll have to pay rent in advance at that time which is usually around 7000 per semester.
