Remarks

The admission procedure for HIMT was completely online, a small online test was also there, followed by an online interview. The entire process was smooth and no hiccups. After selection payment of fees has to be done by online payment method.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course with a keen interest in joining Merchant Navy. The faculty at HIMT is highly experienced and has good Mentors. The student ratio was 40:1 for classroom lectures and 8:1 for Practical labs.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 365000 per year

Placement Experience

Reputed companies like MOL, MOLTA, BSM, Goodwood, VR Maritime, PIL, Ocean Sparkle, MSC, Tomini Shipping, and many other reputed companies do visit our college for placements to select the trainees according to their needs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is very apt for the various breakups like Tuition fees, food, and accommodation, uniforms, recreational facilities, swimming pool, Ship in Campus, and Industrial visits. There are no scholarships. At HIMT we have fully airconditioned classrooms and Futuristic labs like Virtual Reality labs.

Campus Life

Life at HIMT Campus is tightly scheduled to build up extremely disciplined cadets to meet the requirements of International shipping companies. Cadets trained at HIMT will be having a high level of discipline and punctuality.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility at HIMT is Excellent, we had rooms shared by four people, with decent standards of living and furnished cupboards and well-maintained washrooms. Each room has four beds and the rooms are spacious for four.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Placement Experience:

For ETO there is sponsorship as well as placements. If you are sponsored by any company you don't need to attend any placement drives. But if you are not sponsored they were providing placements in the first month onwards. The shipping companies like MAERSK LINE, BSM, MSC GOOD WOOD, MARSHALL, and many more are taking the cadets. Almost 90 % are placed before leaving the campus. As far as lam concerned I will go for sailing after the company's induction programme.

Life that I lived in HIMT was good.

Placement Experience:

The placement were depending upon the performance of the cadet, however the cadets are the HIMT will give chances will be given to atten the interview , there we should perform. So the placements entirely lies in our hands only.

I have applied to Angelo eastern. But the exam date is after HIMT's joining date. I have already sponsored by a shipping company called BSM, they told me to take the course from this college and complete the course with minimum 65% aggregate.
