Remarks

This college was I got from the entrance exam. Exam name WBJEE its form fillup starts from mid-week of December to mid-week of January and exam held in April, result declared in June. When counselling starts we can choose this college with a rank of 60000 for the IT course because this college has a high cutoff. You can also get direct admission to this college. This is a Makaut (formerly known as WBUT) affiliated and AICTE-approved college and also available master's degree courses in technical and non-technical. For Makaut norms, you have to be a minimum of 45,% in the 12th to get registered. Application or admission fees are 5000 when get allotted in the counselling and application form in the college through physical reporting. Yes, reservation benefits are available. Improvement needs on faculty members, canteen and library facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

I choose it because I don't get CSE but my course is much similar to CSE. Faculty needs to improve on their behaviour, and need unity and respect towards students. The student ratio in IT is 80% every year of the seating capacity. Our teacher's qualifications most of them in Masters in their teaching subject and extra course on teaching techniques. Average few of them teach well but mostly not we don't understand. Our term or end sem exam goes through online and it takes 5 to 6 days to complete. Moderate if you learn the organizer a question bank published by Makaut you 70% common it was basically mostly applicable for offline mode.

Internships Opportunities

3

This topic also I need time to know more from my seniors and explore throughout my course period. So I do not tell much about it but I heard that we make a profile on LinkedIn, indeed from starting of the third-year minimum if you make it early and mention your skills it's much better for applying in the third year to easily get a job.

Placement Experience

1.5

From the 3rd year, 6th sem students can apply for the different internship programs and are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Companies came to Wipro, L&T Pvt. Ltd. This is my first year so I need time to gather more information about placement package offered, companies, percentage of students get from our seniors.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees per semester are equal and after completing the year of 1000 rupees increase in the next sem of next year this follows every year and total cost of the study is 3,57000 including caution money 10000, admission fees 5000 and university registration fees 2700. Sem exam fees are outside of this structure. Yes, scholarships are available for both central and state government kanyashree, Swami Vivekananda scholarship and many more for both boys and girls. Student education loan are also available for both central and state government which was Vidhya Lakshmi and west Bengal student credit card

Campus Life

2

Yes in this every time occurs an event and you can participate. The annual fest also happens every year name is celsius 2022 in may and the tech fest also happens with code drift, cooking, culture, gaming, cricket and many more events. You get a certificate from every event and there were available winning cash prizes also. No library facilities were very poor, books not available for study in sem preparation and most ot the books are 15 years old, the journal also available few and old version. Amenities are poor. Sports and extracurricular activities run every time at every event, this was good. you can enjoy both indoor and outdoor games available, you can learn chess, carrom from our seniors and from chess a senior student get rank 70 in Russia chess tournament.

Placement Experience:

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months
