Remarks

Good placement in 2018. One of my relatives graduated from that college, he said it was a good college with good placements, faculties, laboratory facilities and liabrary. And the college was near my home area.

No curriculum is seen. Only some of my classmates go to grounds to play. And tournaments are held once or twice per year. Faculties and academics are good. Teachers are helpful. No industrial exposure is provided by college.

Very bad placement in the year 2019,2020. Very few core companies come to visit our college. Due to this low campus placements students are going for riots. We are complaining to Indrani Sur about it but still no result.

College Events

Once in a year festivals are hold on college campus. Students participate in different events. They also get good prizes. College doesn't pay much for the festivals or events. For this reason events to welcome freshers are delayed. Sports Tournaments are held once or twice a year. No gym facilities or indoor gaming is available.

Placement are average like any other private colleges. Don't expect too much. Average package is like 5 lpa .But since it is in saltlake which is the it hub of North East we have plenty of options to apply for offcampus of no placement is given in college.

Placement Experience:

The college has a very professional Training and Placement committee. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Accenture, Wipro visit the college for placement. My department (ECE) has an average of 7LPA. Last year the highest pakage was 85 LPA which was secured by one of our esteemed seniors in JP Morgan Chase. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon also visit our college for placements. The only disadvantage is maximum of these companies are visiting for mass recruit profiles. I plan to go for an MS in USA after securing my degree.

The college lowdown

Placement Experience:

From 6th and 7th Semester students get eligible for campus placements. The companies that visit are TCS,. Cognizant, Dell, intel, Amazon, Microsoft, McAfee, Hp etc 70% plus gets placed every year. Students must maintain a cgpa above 7 to be eligible for campus placements. After getting a degree I want to develop my career as a software engineer and product manager.

Survival Guide of NIT Durgapur

Placement Experience:

Placements at NIT Durgapur are phenomenal. Students are eligible for placements from 6th semester onwards. Some of the visiting companies include Microsoft, Apple, and JPMC. They offer attractive packages to students, with the highest placement being 50 LPA. The average placement for all the students is around 11LPA. For branches like CSE, ECE and EEE, the average is consistently above 16-17 LPA. The placement percentage is around 80% for CSE students. My plans after getting the degree will be to work in the industry for 1-2 years and then proceed to higher studies abroad.

From Classrooms to Careers

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. There have been quite a few companies that have visited the campus like Nutanix, Accenture, Deloitte, EY GDS, IBM, etc. Variable packages ranging from 4-11lpa have been offered. Till now the percentage of students getting placements is relatively low.

CIEM Review

Admission happened through WBJEE & JEE Mains Rank, I chose Electrical Engineering as I liked Physics and Electricity as a subject. The institution is near to my place and in the city which compared to most other colleges of similar rank is a big plus point hence I didn't have to opt for a hostel. Insight on my College

Positive remarks about my college would be the location.It is in the prime location of Tollygunge,Kolkata between two metro stations and we can also get bus or autos to most of the parts of Kolkata from around here. Negative remark would be placement and Infrastructure,the college authorities need to concentrate on better placement drives because at the end of the day that's what matters.The infrastructure is good but regular maintenance would not do any harm....Read More
