Likes

The college has a Decent Infrastructure and Facilities when it comes to basic Amenities.
Celsius in the Annual Fest of CIEM. Other than that there are Several Activities and events related to Sports,Tech and Cultural which provides exposure and Experience in the overall development.Fossils and Snigdhajit are some recent performers.
Placement Records are Average in CSE, IT, ECE.Companies like Amazon, Amedeus and several others visits the campus. Several Government internships Opportunities area also provided by Professor's references if you perform well.

Dislikes

Nothing much to dislike. There are scopes for improvement in infrastructure and the college is doing their best to achieve it.
Placements are a Key factor and it depends on the person as the college provides the opportunity but it's on the student to grab it.

Placements are Pretty okay. Usually Pupils get Offers but there are many Scenarios where they have Opt for an MBA, MTECH or some other post graduate degree Amazon visited and selected 6 students this year 14-18 LPA has to be the Highest Package and lowest Package was Around 2.8 lakhs. 90% Students get placement offers.

What are the internship opportunities in the campus?

Companies Provide Internship in the 3rd or 4th yr. Off-Campus internships and Government provided internships is Appreciated even in the 2nd yr. One of the Recent Government internships was related to the ministry of Railways where the project demanded for a solution to the Water Shortage problem in the trains like Vande Bharat, Rajdhani etc.

The Curriculum of MAKAUT is Followed here and it's pretty good. Attendance policy is there but professors are understanding and they will allow Urgent and Important reasons if you missed their class. Moreover there is a Decent balance between study and Extra Curriculum.

SVMCM scholarships are Provided which is of 60k per year if you pass on every subject in the semester exam with 60% average and family income below 3 lakhs. TFW Category students need to pay Rs. 1250 per semester Regular Student fees Vary between 42,000 to 50,000 per semester.

There are several Inter-departmental and Social Events that takes place on regular intervals. Saraswati puja And Vishwakarma Puja is also Celebrated with joy. students are given the Responsibility for organising all these Events. Court of Dreams (fashion show),SKAR(Dance) , Alfaaz(Singing), Cricket, Football, Volleyball and several other Sport techno cultural Clubs are there. Celsius is the Annual Fest of the college.

My College Experience Uncovered.

Likes

The Campus is spacious, have a large area unlike other institutions where you just get a building in the name of the campus.
The labs are well equipped , machines, instruments are all according to the experiment that has be performed in accordance with the syllabus.

Dislikes

The improper management of the labs, even though the laboratories are well equipped but their regular maintenance seems to be missing.
Not updating the college properly. No renovation work done in the main building

Admission:

The main reason behind choosing the college over other colleges is it's electrical department's history. The electrical department has received many awards, certificates for the projects development. There was a time when the college had 120 students in the electrical department. Making it one of the highest in the state. These things pulled my attention and also pulled me in take an admission in the institute. Also the department has won multiple awards at both the state and national level. The admission process is overall simple, there are a number of faculties who are always willing to help students, their parents and advise them the best course for their child/children.

At the counseling time we have to go to counter of our respective choosen college and there we have got slip of registration. They have given the date and time of admission. That day we went and got admission.

The best thing is senior junior relationship. They never rag us. Even they give enthusiasm to students for taking up cultural activity more.

Dislikes

There is not a good facility of library. The books are quite older version. We can't rely on them.
I think as competitiveness is too high. So that students tend to cheat.
A little politics also we can see in fest. As always some students are given more favor than others. A little partiality.

Admission:

First of all i got into this college after a WEBJEE score was published. I got to know about it during councilling process. And got into it. But really spoken every college is equal. I am satisfied in my college as attendance is not a issue there. I can be at home chill sometimes.My friend from other big name college says there is no scope. Where she pays double my fees. Ao it's quite affordable failure.

Also the college is at a half an hour distance from my home so transportation takes less time. For admission you just need to bring your WBJEE marksheet and boards certificates along with identity proofs.

Seniors are very cooperative and there is no ragging in college
Main college campus is very big and it has ground of it self

In summer AC should be compulsory for ever class
Classes should also need to be improved and in some classes AC is not there and classes needs to be more attractive and interesting for studies

This college is good and it's not that far from my locality and the reason why I choose this college is because of the ground and extracurricular activities in sports this college is good. The admission process for this college is very easy u just have to fill some form and they will pick you. I had also applied for others colleges like Ilead, techno university and iem and some other colleges and this clg is good form others and I don't have to face anything hard work. Yes I did get rejection from other's college's because of my poor marks in 12th standard and also because I had dropped a year. There is no eligibility for admission in my college and no exams required.

A small tour of ciem with both side of coin good

Likes

I like fees, its location as it is near to metro it's campus and silence in the camous. The help the Institute provide financially and physically for our Participation.the big college destroy the personal touch between student and teacher

The library can be more advanced with proper computer and the e books
The student here is very less engaging and participating and i hate this thing they don't want to do anything they are very slow

The admission processing is quite simple after I completed my class 12 there was two option for getting entered in my college one is direct admission if you have 95% and above in your board's exam Or you can come through webjee i appeared from webjee and have cleared it then you need to prepare a preference list of your college and then in counselling one will allotted at every round. CIEM - A decent place for beginners

The campus life, sports, friends and the annual fest

The class strength was one thing which was not up to the mark

Admission:

Eligibility of the course was class 12 examination. I got to know about the college from one of my relatives. No reservation benefits. The exam difficulty level was moderate. Two semesters in a year. There can be a more robust admission process.

College life and sports enthusiasm and practices
as i love chess there are also many chess enthusiasts exists over there
The annual fest Celsius , i like that and internal hackathons and coding competitions

Dislikes

computer labs are not upto the mark they are average

Admission:

The admission process was quite challenging and hectic . we have to sit for the WBJEE join entrance examination whose application process is so lengthy from filling a very large form to paying exam fees . my college cutoff was around 56k for CSE . eligibility was scoring atleast 60% in 12th boards and the rank cutoff. The application form can be found at the WBJEE official website , i forgot the application fees. There is no reservation benefits available for my college as it's a private college but for the whole WBJEE its available for SC , ST , OBC and etc . A very clear improvement according to me that i want to see is in the document verification process as if we get any college in the first round of counselling , we have to travel to that college no matter how far it is as for example i am in kolkata if JGEC come in first round i have to go jalpaiguri for document verification no matter of what i am electing or not , also if i dont elect that college i have to go for upgrade .

Admisisons have already been concluded for the academic session 2024-25. WBJEE 2025 Exam Date has been announced for UG Admissions in Engineering/ Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture courses. The WBJEE 2025 Exam will be held on April 27, 2025. The online applications will start soon.
