Honest review of thapar univ by a first year student

Admission is based on boards and JEE percentile. cut off for CSE was 96%in boards during our time The first three counsellings will be done on the basis of boards and spot rounds on jee percentile but this was only till covid duration It will be normalised afterwards

The way of teaching is very poor, they don't even respond to any phone calls during exam They focus more on reading the ppt's rather than on clearing the concept You have to ask them doubts personally or by using video lectures on youtube

Upcloud tech, focus energy, Sysco, American Express, JP morgan, adobe, VM wear, axis bank, Incedo, Infosys, Celebal and many more visits for summer internships and pick many of the talented students

Placements of Thapar start from 5th sem, internships for mechanical, civil and mechatronics start from 5th sem, there are 2 types of internships, summer sem and internships for 6 months, the student who make the fight for the placement will avail more package

Fees are very much high, I think it should be normal so that lower-middle-class family children would also avail the opportunity to study in such a big and renowned college like Thapar students of this college are very much competitive and college also provide lots of opportunities to explore more things

The campus life of Thapar is very good but there are hostel timings for all which I think should be removed Students come in thapar will come out like a shining star after 4 years of degree if they grab the opportunities Wisely

Hostel facility is very good , rooms are neet and clean even the mess food is very good , if I compare the mess food with the food of other college hostel's mess it's much much better than that BUT hostel fees is little bit high
