Remarks

I'm a student of Ram Lal Anand College ( DU ). I'm pursuing my bachelor of Arts in History Honours. Talking about the admission criteria of the program you should have 55% and above aggregate to take admitted to any college. DU colleges release their cutoff 7- 8 times every year where you can take your admission on the basis of merit and entrance. There are no age criteria but you should have passed the 12th class.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen History in my Honours because I've been a keen disciple of history and my love for history is far beyond. The faculty is very good and highly qualified. They are very supportive and friendly, you can take assistance, they will guide you in your further education if you want to. Their teaching method is so awesome that once you get into the topic there is not any chance to give up on the topic. They teach us in a very fascinating way that you can learn things for years. Firstly teachers take their lectures and then they take tutorial classes (doubt sessions). Talking about the exams semester exams happens two times a year. Every semester internal exams also happen. It's not quite difficult to pass but once you have clear concepts then you can easily pass your exams. The best faculty members for History as a discipline is in Ram Lal Anand College, one should study here for better understanding and deep knowledge.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is not much costly it's very cheap to study, everyone can afford it as you know DU is known for its cheap cost and best education. You'll get the opportunity to work with NGOs, do field studies, and do internships also.

Campus Life

Firstly, let's talk about classroom study and the availability of books and journals in the library. The classroom study is best, there are smart classes, and all & have availability of all resources are there for any classroom study. The campus library is wide, there are many books, textbooks, journals, newspapers, articles, and past question papers all are there, one thing is best that students didn't get worried about books as all are present there. The staff of the library is very supportive. You can sit for hours in the library in the world of books. That's the best thing for me my days. There are many societies like dramatic society, dancing, singing, art and craft, yoga, debating society, quizzes, and all where you can enhance your curriculum activities. The college organizes an annual fest every year in the month of Feb-March.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements starts from the fifth semester, that is from the last year of the course. Different companies like Delloite, IBM, etc visits for placement opportunities and as far as I knew, the lowest CTC in the year 2022 was around 6lakhs per annum. I did my post-graduation later on so I never went through the placement process.
