Remarks

I was admitted here through the WBJEE EXAM taken by the West Bengal Board for filling of colleges in West Bengal. There is about 1 lakh to 1.25 lakh students participating in it and the top 2 k can go for CSE, the top 3.5 k can get it and the top 5 k can get CSE. There is no reservation benefit and the process is transparent.

Course Curriculum Overview

Now as we are having classes from home so the exam is also in online mode. Thus it's easy to pass the exams (you know by what means). But the questions are of very good level and need quite a knowledge to crack. The online exams are taken on the college's own website and are a very smooth process. We are Proctored by an Invigilator in greet.

Internships Opportunities

There is also some types of internship you can get. The college will help a bit but it depends on you how you can crack companies trust to hire you when you have literally no experience. Some marketing and technology companies offer internships especially to our college which you can crack with some effort. Stipends are also provided.

Placement Experience

From 7th sem students can sit for placement but the prep starts as soon as you enter the college. There are all mass recruiters and some (10-15) big companies like sankalp semiconductors, NRI fintech, TCS Digi, hack with infi, CTS prima, alpha, etc. The percentage of students placed is already written in the previous part of the review. Basically, I will go for MBA after BTech and am planning to crack CAT.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 5.85 Lakhs for BTech in IEM. It's quite high but the academics they provide quite roundly matches with it. The first sem fee is 92k and the rests are 70 k per sem. There is little to no hidden cost and it's very much transparent. IEM Kolkata provides tfw system and reduces fees. A special scholarship is available for the EWS and bonafide is provided to everyone for educational loan. Jobs are good here. Around 90% of students who sit for placement get a job offer from mass recruiters like TCS, CTS, ACTR, CAPG. 40-45% of students get a higher package salary with it also eg-7.6L, 12L, 14L, etc. Some off-campus placements are also done in FAANGS and MNC s like Amazon, Adobe, etc.

Campus Life

There are many clubs in IEM and there are also 2 fests organized here. But the campus life in IEM is not good cause it barely has any campus. The three buildings just had a basketball court and cricket net on the terrace. But there is a lot of fun indoors as there is a good environment to play indoor games. But currently, IEM took a field to arrange a football tournament. There are many clubs like rotary, drama, singing, sports, chess, Lions Club, etc. There is a great national event is going on now named diversion in IEM now.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

So I take admission through WBJEE in IEM KOLKATA in B.tech in electrical engineering. So now I talked about eligibility criteria:- You should pass your +2 from any board with a maximum of 60% Admission in this college is 3 types WBJEE, JEE MAIN, IEMJEE all three forms you will get notified by college dunia if you have an account in it. Review of My IEM University

When I was searching for the best college to get the admission, some people told me to try for Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) and after I got admitted to this college, I really understood that I selected the right college. I will always prefer this college because discipline is strictly obeyed in IEM and all the teachers are like parents. In 2019, admission was going on offline and it was held around the month of July. This year, due to covid pandemic, the admission process was held around the month of October and from 2nd November, online education started for the first year batch. According to me, the one and only bad aspect is that every semester, Rs. 65,000 is to be paid by each and every student to continue with their education which is quite high according to me.
