St. Xavier's College, Kolkata is a reputed institute known for its academic excellence. The main reason of joining was the discipline of college. The education quality of the autonomous institute is such that it's own curriculum and methodology is unique.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is innovative. It offers specialization in areas of Finance and Marketing. There is an internship in the third year leading to the project in last semester. The semester exchange program give good industry exposure also.

Placement Experience

Placements are good. EY, KPMG,HSBC ID, Deloitte, Google, Reckitt Benckiser, Decathlon, NDTV, Tata, PwC, etc are some of the popular recruiters. INR 14 LPA was the top salary offer in 2021 campus placements.

Fee Structure And Facilities

INR 235000 is the fees for the BBA. Around 30 scholarships and awards are provided to students based on several criterias. Late Rukmini Devi Goenka Scholarship, Infar (India) Scholarship, R. F. De Souza Scholarship, Lt. Abhishek Ray Choudhury Memorial Scholarship. Arindam Chakravarty Memorial Scholarship etc are some of them.

Campus Life

Infrastructure facilities are great with AC classrooms, hostels, canteen, sports ground, a cyber room, an ATM, auditorium, library etc. Students can join a club or a society , organise or participate in a number of fests attend seminars and business conferences.

Placement Experience:

The students get eligible at 3rd year 6th sem. Though before that you can do internship or freelancing which will increase the weight of your profile. The percentage of student getting placement is around 60-70% and the average package is around 4-5lakhs per annum. The highest package got by a student previous year was around ?10lakhs per annum.

I was attracted to this college based on both its academic reputation as well as knowing several others from my high school whom I respected attending here ahead of me. This college has lived up to its academic reputation and more. I have found opportunities for personal growth and development not only academically, but also to expand beyond classroom knowledge. Most of my professors in my major have real world experience outside of academia and it shows. The professor for the capstone class in my major was instrumental in guiding me to an internship this past summer which greatly expanded my professional experience.

Placements are really good. The IT giants like TCS, CTS, Wipro visit our college every year. Near about 60 companies visited our college every year. Marketing companies also visit our college. Byjus, Extramarks and several others. We also got opportunities to sit in pool campusing of several companies like Delloite. Other than MNCs, several start-up companies also visit our campus. Our college provides separate training for campus recruitment and those eager for higher studies, our college provides training for GATE as well. Those who are willing to enter the public sector, there is training for them as well which will also be provided by our college.
