Remarks
The admission process was very easy, I had been to Shaheed Bhagat Singh college and I found out that getting admission to DU is a bit tiring, but this was not the same in Deen Dayal Upadhaya College. It was smooth and quick, the staff was very helpful. And the campus and the sitting area provided for the guardians were also great.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Bcom honor because it was aligning with my future growth opportunities and the college was known for its bcom honors graduate. The faculty was adequate in college, this was something I thought could be better in the future. For eg we can say that there could have been more faculty for different subjects in different semesters. Though the faculty was low in numbers the quality was among the best. I found some of the best teachers in my entire life there. A great and very easy method to teach with an immense amount of knowledge made them great in my view. 2 semesters every year with the different syllabus, it felt a bit fast in starting but later it was ok and though we didn't get enough time to spend our whole 3 years in college. But the time between the exam was enough and exams were tough but easy to answer if you had been attentive in class.
Internships Opportunities
Almost every role was offered in the companies freelancer to a financial advisor, every job profile was offered. There is an internship wave program where almost everyone can get the benefits and get internships in companies and NGOs.
Placement Experience
As soon as you clear your 2nd year you are eligible for the placements. All the big companies were there in the placements like Delloite, EY, willis tower Watson, etc. Companies were providing an average of 3-4 lakhs package and the highest was of 7 lakh. And around 60-70% of the students got placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees of the college were high compared to other colleges of DU but in return for that the college was providing equivalent infrastructure and environment, and as it was near to my home so I found this as a better opportunity cost. There were many job offers I got from the campus hiring but I didn't join in any of them as I had to do my further studies, still, I found many of my friends doing great in their job and earning over 6 lakh per annum.
Campus Life
I was able to attend only one annual fest and it was ok, but not good, comparing to the budget they had been allotted, it was nowhere worth that. The library and the other infrastructure were very good in the college. Almost every room had AC and projector installed. On campus, the ground was very small but around every sport was allowed to play there. And a dedicated hall for Table tennis and badminton and that was really great.
