Remarks

Though IGDTUW has a small campus, it has the one of the best placement record over the years. The previous year highest package being 59.45 Lakh/year by Google to Japleen Di and an average Package of around 10-15 Lakh/Annum. Moreover it is the only place, where you can complete your Btech in just 4.5 Lakh, which is the Cheapest in terms of fees. There is no college except IGDTUW where you will find such a high input-output ratio and the minimum fees of Btech in any college is 8L/y if you are a general student. The admission happens through JAC Delhi counselling on the basis of JEE ranks. The previous year 5th round cutoff rank for CSE was 39K.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Almost all the teachers from IGTUW are highly qualified, having PhDs from IITs and reputable foreign universities like Harvard too. They are pretty knowledgeable too, but I can't deny there is a poor work culture in IGDTUW. It being a govt. college, many of the teachers are reluctant to work, you need to scrape their knowledge out of them. On the other hand there are teachers who are highly devoted too and opens up a child's to endless possibilities. IGDTUW has 1 Minor (Mid-Sem exam) and 1Major (End-Sem) exam. It is difficult to score full marks, but if you work hard you can easily get a CGPA>8 (which is the eligibility criterion for some Companies at the time of placement). Many teachers do strict internal marking, but some of the are lenient too.

Internships Opportunities

4

No, I am in my first year only so I thought that improving my skills would be a better option before getting a job, so I have opted for training instead of internships. Though if we talk about non-Tech internships, I am working with Raahee which is a mental health start up from our college.

Placement Experience

4.5

A lot of students get placement in their 3rd year 6th semester, but some of them bag them in their 4th year. There are many great placement opportunities in the college, but all depends on your hard work and skills. The highest package was 59.45 Lakh/annum.Companies like Google, Amazon, Goldmansachs, Microsoft, Cisco etc. During the pre-placement Microsoft offered 13 students a package of 45 lakhs and internships to around 40 students, Google offered the package of 59.45 lakh to 1 student, five students have received an offer of Rs 12.8 lakh from Expedia, Intuit has offered a package of Rs 25.17 lakh to three students. Every year approx. 80% of students get placements. I will probably go for higher studies after completing my Undergrad.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There is not much fees hike in here, it is merely 2-3k increase in fees per year. A lot of scholarships are offered here and the faculties keeps on updating us about them. Moreover the class toppers ( Top 3) even get special scholarships every year. Talking about placements they are great on campus. Best companies like Google, Goldmansachs, Microsoft recruit from here. There is also an incubation center sponsored by Cisco and Anveshan foundation in order to encourage start-ups.

Campus Life

3.5

Mainly three fests happen in IGDTUW:Taarangana-Annual Cultural Fest Innerve-Annual Tech FestIgnite-Annual Sports festIgdtuw focusses on overall development of the students and highly encourage CCA. There are endless no. of societies in IGDTUW. There are also some beautiful start ups that emerged from the college, which give internships to the students here too.

I feel like the curriculum is a little out dated and boring but due to a good faculty it makes the course more worthwhile The curriculum is very text based and less practical and more emphasis on bookish knowledge persists still .

As per I've heard, placements here are decent. I can't say for sure because I'm new here. About my plans, I am doing CFA side by side because I don't believe that a bachleors degree has any valur of it's own, one needs to pair it with something else.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a person who wants to build a strong foundation in both economics and mathematics, B.A.(Hons.) Economics was my first choice. This course not only provide valuable insights into how real world economics work, but it also has great career prospects. Students studying economics major actively take consulting, research, risk management as popular career choices. Since this is a practical course with a broad focus on mathematics, the difficulty level is from moderate to high.

Placement Experience:

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

There are many different kinds books present in library like literature,Hindi, Chemistry, Maths, zoology, biology, botany, political science, History Geography the books are only alloted till 12pm and only for 15 days after that you will be charged if book is not returned Sports and Extracurricular are good but classrooms are not that great most projectors in classrooms don't work . There are many good societies in college like jamini the art society and others but joining has caused students to leave their classes which affects them academically
