Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course for its Central University Engineering course , but the curriculum is outdated theory. It poorly prepares me for both the job market and further study. Improvement: Update texts, use case studies, and add mandatory, hands-on software workshops. The frequency of exam is generally after 1.5 months.
Internships Opportunities
The university Jamia Millia Islamia offers internship but I don't have enough knowledge about this topic.what I know is jamia also give recommendation letter to other companies to allow our student to do internship there.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible to sit in the placement in their 4th year . I can say there are so many of companies that generally visit to recruit the students. In Jamia Millia Islamia mechanical department out of 70, 52 student got placed. My plan is to sit in placement if I got what I want I will accept otherwise I will look for offline campus placement
Fees and Financial Aid
When I have taken the Admission last year the fee for 1st year was 16625rs and now am iam in 2nd year in which the fee reduces to 13325rs ( as it some charges only have to pay in first year only). But from now the 1st year feec increased a bit to become 19625rs. Jamia provides scholarship for the top 3 higest SPI student after every year.
Campus Life
Here there are so many of club (Drama club, dance club etc), societies like Robotic society, american society for mechanical engineering, TEDx , Enactus etc . Facilities in classse you can say above average. There are interfaculty tornaments held in University
Admission
I have never applied for any other colleges for a simple reason either Btech from Jamia Millia Islamia or BCA from my hometown college. In Jamia Millia Islamia University they accept JEE mains scorecard to be eligible for the admission. Computer engineering and Data science course are mostly demanded
Faculty
I have seen some professors discussed about the vacant positions of professors yet the administration of jamia millia islamia is not filling it. Actually most of the faculties are good but you have to approach them. They won't come to you. Exams are 2 mid semester of generally 10 to 20 marks (depends upon teacher) and 1 End semester exam for 45 marks (3credit) or 30marks (2 credit)
Night Life
Night like is not so enjoyable untill there are night functions. There are GYM only for sports students and in hostel for hostel students on minimum charges. There are so many hotspots in Jamia that I can't name some of them are Tee point , hygiene , fet canteen etc
