Course Curriculum Overview

4

In terms of relevancy, course are quite relevant but not upto the current scenario of the industry. They still teach us from the book, with all that same bookish knowledge, but there is a one subject of workshop for every department which teach us the modern industry applications.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship opportunities is comparatively less than placement opportunities here. Internship companies come here in the starting of third year, but only a few get it. But students here are so focused, they get internship outside the college, off campus internship.

Placement Experience

5

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees of Delhi Technological University for my course BTech Electrical Engineering is Rs 11,09,800, which should be paid yearly to the college. The first year fees is 2,47,700 from which 95000 should be paid while accepting seats during JAC counselling and rest be paid after getting admission into it. The second, third and fourth year fees are 2,67,700 ; 2,87,700 and 3,00,700 respectively. As you can see the fees is increasing with year, and is highest for fourth year. This fees ki same for all students irrespective of branches and category. However one can claim many scholarship including some private scholarship and DTU official scholarship programme which provide full and percentage wise fee waiver to students depending upon their category and economic status.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is very good, however not all students can get hostel, they can have PGs outside college and still enjoy the campus life. Infrastructure is top notch here, most of the students are well focused towards their dream as they are the cream layer of the country. Club or society is very active here, doing many fest. People outside our college often says, DTU has minimum 2 fest every month.

Admission

I chose this college because I was getting lower branches in other colleges. It's just that simple. This was the best government college that I was getting. Also the admissions are done through JAC counselling, and one has to participate in that to get admission here.

Faculty

3

Faculty here is very experienced with many of them holding one or more PhD in their fields. Faculty to students ratio is also good, but some faculties are not very good. They detain students even if there is a slight change of it. Even if someone has 74.9% attendance they detain them, but these types of professors are very less, almost less than 5% of total faculty. Some are very good, like they give marks in paper and don't trouble students much but some are very bad. They don't even like students as some students say this. For exams, there are five courses in first semester and one elective course. Out of this five, one is a workshop which has 2 credits and elective has2 credit and rest has 4 credit. Students must complete all the credits to get the degree.

Interview Experience

4

To get into the college one require to get a good percentile in JEE Mains. Admission is carried out through JAC counselling which considers JEE Mains score. So yes there is a test required to get into this college.

Night Life

5

Nightlife is the best here, walking around the campus in night with our friends or cycling here is the best experience here. Also during exams, library are open till 6 in the morning, and all the canteens and shops are open even in the night during exams, and this is best vibe here.

Here placement is average as many opt for higher studies the reason behind this is maybe because only a few companies visit. In which TCS is a mass recruiter. The average package here is 3-4 lakh per annum and the highest goes up to 6lakhs per annum. Here placement ratio is about 50%. I will also opt for higher studies after getting a degree

Remarks:

College management needs to work upon just the placement cell and needs to invent new methods to keep uninterested students glued and up for studies.
