Likes
- The college has hostel which are inside the campus and that to is the first thing I like about this college.
- Secondly, girls are supportive and boys of Ambedkar University are allowed to use the campus so watching guys from distance is the second plus.
- Lastly the placements as Mechanical branch hardly had placements otherwise but from our college 8 out of 10 students are placed.
Dislikes
- College area is not so good as it is very crowded due to major bus depot hub of Delhi.
Course Curriculum Overview
Mechanical and Automation required least numbers so it wasn't that I decided to do it. I also thought, i could change my branch but unfortunately I couldn't and have to stick with it. The point though is that I am now loving it too.
Placement Experience
Definitely from the last year only as before that only internships are provided. Most students get placements as defining percentage won't be easy. I want to do M.Tech from IITs and that's one of my goals.
Fees and Financial Aid
IGDTWU is ladies college for engineering. I know this is a rare thing but still strength of our college is as good as it's peers like DTU and NSUT. The fees is rather lesser from them as we have to pay just 1.48 lakhs in all to study here.
Campus Life
Tarangaa is our annual fest and is accompanied by Fashionista which is also a kind of fest where seniors hosts juniors. Our labs, wingers and everything is so good. Even staffroom and our HOD cabin are so spacious and comfortable. There are two girls hostel inside the campus and there is one Kiosk and one cafeteria too at the campus.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel registation has to be done immediately after joining the college as seats are few and the demand is high. However, in the Krishna hostel where I stay, has pocket sized rooms and three students are asked to share that room. Even the washroom is common and these are some grey areas otherwise food and all is good only.
Admission
CET is compulsory and even JEE Mains rankers between 5-8k rankers are allowed to enter here through central counselling. Admission process was good and rapid too but seats come and go so fast that sometimes, students gets fest of missing out kind of thing. Hence, I feel a little more cushion and some time should be provided to students during counseling.
Faculty
Faculties at our college are not normal creatures. God has instilled some special talent as forget about the kind of education they have had during their times but the kind of passing on that knowledge talent that they have is phenomenal.
Night Life
Even if one wants to go out and check at 1 am, they will find people around our campus as Kashmiri Gate where our college is located is always buzzing. Kashmiri Gate has many juice and chaat corners. So, they are the places where I often hang out with my friends.
