Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

First of all this college takes admission on the basis of jee mains ranks so its quite not in the hands of us to choose the course unless you have really good rank. But I luckily got my desired branch Information and technology specialised in Network and Information Security.Since my childhood when I got my first laptop I got really interested computers hence seeked for computer engineering. Till now the curriculum is very good and quite prepares you for industry even thou a more portion of work we have to do ourselves to get industry ready , rest I cant say much about the curriculum since the main branch oriented curriculum starts from 2nd year. Area of improvement can be that curriculum shouldn't be anything that is not required in todays market, also the coding should be taught from start and the first year curriculum should be changed to branch oriented like the IIITs . The freuquency of the examination hella lot , which includes 2 class test , 2 vivas, 1 mid and end sem in a sem.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The internship here is not that good for the non-technical branch. But on other hand its easy fot the technical branch to get an internship especially CSE/IT. Rest I dont have enough knowledge about this since I have completed first year only .

Placement Experience

3.5

From third year or 5th semester the students get eligible for placement . The company that visits are quite good like facebook , google, EPIC(US), samsung, texas instrument,Goldman sachs, JP Morgan etc. According to 2022 from my knowledge , the highest package was 1.06 cr/annum and average of the college was 18 lacs/annum. 80% and above in btech got placed in this year. I am first planning to try for placement or will get into some kind of startups with the college peers. And side by side will try to get into a IIM for further MBA degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees here is hella lot which included with hostel fees and mess charges make it more worse. The complete cost of only college fee is around 10 lacs in 4 years and for hostel and mess fee its around 4.5 lacs . And others are your extra expenditures like books , travelling , pocket money etc. So, in total you can say the cost of studying here is around 16 lacs for the 4 years which is quite a large sum for a government college. There is no scholarships available from college sides , they only do provide loans via SBI branch located at their campus .The only method to avail scholarships here is via government and private schemes. So, if you are the person with financial issue go to NITs .

Campus Life

4

Typically , here two fests are held once in a year one is around march cultural fest- The Moksha -and other around september-october the technical fest- The Resonance. The library here is quite good with lot of books and you can find any course related books here which are present in multiple numbers. Also you can find books for hobby reading . The classes here are very good for a government college with full air conditioned room and high quality table and chair . Also classes here contains smart boards for making it more easy for the teachers to teach and explore more through the internet . The sports facility here sucks for real, this college doesn't focuses on the sports well , also the sports complexes are not in good condition. But good thing is that they are now improving that portion of the college . The social interaction is also quite well here, through numerous clubs. Here you can find clubs for any of your interest , and clubs are the good part of this college.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The room is spacious but old , and need renovation. But the worst part is that rooms dont have ac's (only for dasa students) which makes it harder to survive in the hot days since the college is located at the place known for its temperature spikes. But there is praises for the bathroom here, as it too good and even are accomodated with sensors for light and taps. The food here is bad and we have to depend eating from odering from outside sometimes, the menu is good only is on seeing , but in actual they provide shit. The hostel and menu charges are costly , inspite of the fact they are not providing that much good facility especially food. Therefore some students like to live in flat or PGs instead I live in hostel for now but planning to take a flat from third year

Admission

The admission process here is on the basis of Jee mains score, and the respective cut-off which is high here for general non-delhi student. Jee mains form can be filled online or offline and it is held once a year. The difficulty level of jee mains is moderate and can be cracked by just two years preparation along with your 11&12. The admission process in my perspective is good only the reservation benifits should be lowered , in case of my college the delhi reservation of 85% should be lowered to 30-40%.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty to student ratio here is quite good , but sometimes for some subjects there can be some days in sems where faculty goes missing. The impact of this only for some students who seriously studies from the profs. and for rest who depends on youtube its only the matter of attendance. The faculty here are really well qualified and do have good knowledge of their subjects, but some of them lacks in the teaching skills as they just do their teaching without interacting and go. Due to the internet and connectivity the approachability is good, and even we can approach them directly as they take your doubts seriously.Overall teachers are quite good not bad.

Students who have completed there 4 sem are eligible to sit in campus placements to secure 2month summer internship and students who have completed there 6th sem are eligible to sit in campus placements to secure 6 month internship along with ppo or fulltime or direct fulltime opportunities. Around 70-80% students gets placed in tech branches and around 50-70% gets placed in core branches. My plan after degree are to join a fulltime offer.

The placement of my college is decent enough. If you are from Tech and circutial branches you can expect package ranging around 12-30lpa, and other than this you can expect somewhere between 8-15lpa for other branches. Overall the placement is quite good.

Placement Experience:

The fifth semester students become eligible for campus placements. The College organise placement, registration and shortlisting based on academic performance and semester marks. Many well-known companies visit the campus for hiring every year, including both mass recruitment and profile based offers students get opportunities in core companies as well as IT and consulting firms, the highest package offered in recent years has been competitive, and the average package is decent for most . A good percentage of students manage to secure placement through campus drives, but it also depends on students preparation and skill level students also get internships into placement offers. If a student does not get a campus placement, there are still good options for employability students to prepare for off campus placement, government exams or higher studies like Masters. Overall the placement environment is active and give students affair chance to start their careers.

The minor streams that they offer are Management, Computational Biology and Electronics. Students can enroll in any one based upon their preferences.
