Course Curriculum Overview

2

1. Choosing this course was not my choice, I got this because I didn't crossed the cut-off for higher branch. 2. The curriculum doesn't prepare us for real world application it onky provides us bookish and theoretical knowledge which generally is not asked in interview or in industry. 3. Course can include more practical aspects of a subject and remove the things irrelevant to our branch. Like teaching computer science student the core subject of electrical engineering is not relevant at all. 4. Although a semester should be 6 months long but I am in the third year and none of my semesters were of 6 months, they were 3 months, 4 or max 5. They prepone the end sem and mid sems, and keep exams when the syllabus is not even completed whicb fives students no time to study in depth about the subject and it leads to them only learning all the examination aspect of the subject to score marks and not actually learn about anything.

Internships Opportunities

3

1. Many companies come for internships like deshaw with a package of 1.5L per month for internship, google internship, various startups and small companies also offer interns. 2. The internship is based on tech, non tech or core. It offers experience, money, and a chance to secure PPO at the same company if the performance is good.

Placement Experience

4

There is a training and placement cell in nsut and yes placement is offered in our college. 1. After your 2nd year in btech, you are eligible for internship placement and after 3rd year your are eligible to sit in job placement. 2. There are many good companies that come to nsut, like zomato, meesho, Microsoft, google, azure, adobe, and list is really long. 3. The highest package this year was around 50LPA. The profiles are based on tech - software engineer, non tech - data analysis, core - electrical or mechanical or civil or chemical engineers in core companies like BSES, google silicon etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. This year I paid 2,50,000 as my yearly fee. 2. Tution fees - 1,00,00. University fees - 77,000 Student fund - 25,000 Facilities and service charge - 26,000 Almuni fund 1000 Examination charge 15000 3. Every student has to pay the same fees, but category students may apply to the scholarships given by the college and government and it they pass the criteria they will be given scholarship funds. 4. Merit cum scholarship, PMS, SC/ST scholarship.

Campus Life

4

1. The annual festivals by NSUT are MOKSHA the annual cultural fest of nsut(open to all college students), REZONANCE the annual cultural fest (only for nsut students). There are many events organized by various societies in the college. 2. Library has a wide rage of books, according to the subjects there are almost every book available there. 3. The facilities and technological provisions are really good and up to date. 4. Sports area is a little left behind, they don't have proper arrangements for every sports and no equipments are offered. 4. There are various teams of nsut, which participates and wins various competition. 5. There are so many societies running in our college, and they do imapct a student's life. There is a society for almost every extracurricular thing you can think of. Drama, art, music, poetry, literature, acting, yoga etc.

Admission

1. I applied to only 2 colleges DTU and NSUT. But I didn't choose dtu because of traveling issues, as it was 2 hours away from my house and nsut was just 15 mins away. 2. I didn't get a rejection from other colleges, but I myself choose not to there, as NSUT is a reputed college and government college for btech. It is one of the top college in delhi. 3. The admission process is through JAC delhi counseling in which NSUT DTU IGDTUW comes, and you can select your preference and you will be given tbe course with the college according to your rank scored in JEE MAINS.

Faculty

2

1. The faculty to student ratio is good. The faculty doesn't get a lot of batches to teach in a particular semester. So it is easy for them to manage. 2. There are really few faculties that I liked, most of them don't care abd don't listen to you, favour the students they like. During evaluation of exams they give good marks to the students that they know even if you have wrote the same answer and they won't listen if you complain, and you can do nothing about it you can not complain about a faculty anywhere. 3. As I said, I really didn't like any of the faculties because of there behavior and the favorism they do, some of them are genuinely good and care about students but these are like 1 in every 10 proff. 4. There are 2 main exams, mid sem which happens in the mid of every semester duration and end sem which happens at the end of the semester. The mid sem is of 15-20 number based on the subject if it is practicals based or not. The mid sem if generally half the syllabus and the difficulty level is around 8 on a scale of 10, the exams are of 1.5 hour and the evaluation is done by our subject proff only. The end sem examination are of 45-50 marks, 3 hours duration and are not evaluated by the proff teaching us, but a different proff of the same subject. The difficulty level is 9/10. 5. Around 10% students fail in the examinations held. There is no failing of passing criteria in mid sem and end sem individually. The combined marks are taken for evaluation of the final result, which is out of 100, it adds practicals marks, CT marks etc. 6. The course curriculum is relevant to only bookish knowledge and no practical od industrial knowledge.

Night Life

5

1. Gym cafeteria, library are generally opened till 10 p.m. but the open space is 24/7 opened. 2. Hostel life is pretty much average, students have to get in their hostel at around 10 p.m. and girls and boys have different hostels and not allowed near each others hostles. Girls and boy hostel are situated on the two different corners of the college. 3. Yes nsut is located in delhi dwarka, and locality is really safe for everyone to roam around at night. College campus is also safe for the students to roam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

Placement Experience:

The placements are in good terms, many students get a placement with nice package. Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd Semester. TCS made about 7 offers as far as I know. One can expect the highest package of 2.5crore and an average of 200000. About 80% of students gets placement because of the skills they learned wheres the rest 20% are only at college to do mischievous acts. After getting the degree, I will find a job and then after enough capital I will start my own startup.

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
