INSIDE IGDTUW: A STUDENT PERSPECTIVE

In mechnical and automation course it typically falls into core area therefore the tech or coding part isn't fully taught although for first years coding language are included in interdisciplinary course and subjects like web development and data science so students can choose from it and students can take various courses that are taught by college facilities online

Intership opportunities provided are quite good many companies visit the campus such as Microsoft, adobe , linkedin coachin ,Salesforce , drdo research internship, ISRO, cisco For second year microsoft explore , uber she++, stars For core Ashok Leyland ,dmrc,ONGC,GAIL India etc.

The on campus placement are quite good here even for the code branch. The training and placement cells works really hard for students to land onto best ones. Also regular meets and sessions are taken for students of first second third year's to guide them further by the seniors to let them know about the upcoming events and hackathons so as they don't miss out on anything the seniors also guide the students about the essential skills they should learn and provide them roadmap for the same The highest package this year is quite good and the average package is also decent last year average for mechanical was 8-9LPA which is expected to increase this year for cse and circuital branches the avg package is around 25 LPA or even more

At Indira Gandhi delhi technical university for women the fees for first years is 1,58,000 tution fee 104000,welfare fee 30,000, facilities and service charge 8,500, economically weaker section fund 2,000, examination fee 6,000, medical facility 500, security deposit 5,000 alumini fee 2,000 for others too this is the fee structure. From next year onwards the feels slightly increases for second years 1,66,000 for third year's 1,82,500 and for fourth years 2,00,500. There are various scholarships available for students goverment and private ones both for government various programs are available at nsp portal for private scholarship such as reliance foundation, infosys etc. College also provides scholarship such as merit cum need and scholarship based on performance as well

The overall experience of mine is good part from the campus area everything else is good the placement and internship opportunities are strong. The average package is also quote decent . Webinar for internships placement and workshops for the same are regularly carried out . Faculty is also well qualified and experienced.various fests such as Tarangana (annual fest in Feb), sports meet Ignite and technical fest such as Innerve as carried doubt Also there are many societies for students like for tech we have tech needs igdtuw ,hack with igdtuw ,code benders etc IEEE society and asset merket for web3 and block chain For debates and MUN we have bhav

The reason I choosed this college is because of its placement and intership opportunities the college is women focussed therefore for females good opportunities are provided and even if someone is in core branch even they can dive into tech for igdtuw one has to apply for jac counselling (delhi colleges btech ) and here the state quota is around 85% and other state 15% therefore cutoff for other state is quite higher than the homestate candidates Candidate should have 60% in boards (pcm) Given Joint entrance exam (JEE) Applied for JAC counselling

The faculty here is highly qualified and are very supportive. They help students with everything whatever problem one is facing they can talk to them comfortably.They help students with academics as well as at proffesional level as well. For each semester there are two exams mid term and end term mid term of 30 marks and end term of 60 marks the paper level is quite maintained not too tough

I am not a hosteller so I can't describe this part quite well but as much as I know from my hostel mates the campus night life is good there are curfew timings but overall students have good reviews about it Computer centre is a good area as it's always open for student
