Remarks

After 12th I applied for many colleges like Vivekananda college, Vivekananda centenary college, Asutosh College, Surendra Nath college etc. But in mind, there was Scottish Church, my dream. I didn't think that I will be able to take admission to Scottish Church but that I got my dreams comes true and like my dreams the college that means my college was a dream. Though I get admission through the wish list. I had enrolled myself on the wishlist when they publish to notice for wishlist. After 3 or 4 days the 1st merit list of the wishlist comes out and there was my name in 3rd position. Then I paid the admission fees through online payment and officially got admission to the Scottish Church College.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose the Chemistry subject for my graduation because it was my most favourite subject at +2 level and I wanted to read this more deeply so I choose this. In my college, the faculty students ratio is almost 1:30. Our teachers are so good and lovable. They took well care of us. The teaching level is beyond expectation. They are so well educated in their zone. Here often teachers take a class test to enhance our ability of us to attain some competitive exams in future.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 54000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fees here are very reasonable. They charge only 54k for the entire course. And you may get a governmental scholarship also. The one and only cons here you won't get any placement chance here.

Campus Life

The campus life here is just like real dreams. So pleasure atmosphere and calmness here brings a great environment to study. Here various types of annual fast are being arranged every year. Freshers farewell, Caledonian, yearly fest and so many college fests are here. Here the classrooms are so well decorated and air conditioned and have enough place here to sit. Here often some journal is also released. And sports like volleyball basketball, cricket is played here usually. Here all type of clubs is available you can come up with your talent and can go ahead and prosperous in life on those ground. And every department has its separate library.

Hostel Facilities

Here hostels are so good. There are 3 hostels for students. And one for only girls and two for boys. The atmosphere of the hostels is so good to tell. Here food quality is amazing. Very hygienic and tasty food is usually supplied here. You have to register through the Google form which you will get on the college website on the notice board. And if you have any rented room or pg the ambience here is very good to stay and study.

I think I'm a curious student. Integrating biology with technology is interesting Recently we are studying animal tissue culture plant tissue culture which is superb. Generating a plan from a single cell is truly something interesting. I was drawn to genetics and biotechnology application . This curriculum prepares a student for research and industrial purpose . We get to do lab experiments project work under professors. In my opinion improvement can be done by industrial visits Exams take place at the end of each semester and we have mid sems in between

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

Placement Experience:

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course theory helps us gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Film studies and Mass Communication theory classes has laid down the foundation of the subject- from what is a shot and the kinds of shots and angles, to the beginning of radio in India and essays by CS Pierce and John Berger. It was good to be a part of that college

You have to pass the 12 th boards with above 90% marks then only you'll get the college. They always have the application form and all the informations in there official college website. There was reservation policies as I was sc so it was a little bit low cut off for my reservation. The exam pattern and difficulty level was a little bit hard. The admission process was fully online and convenient. eligibility of my course is above 75% in PCB subjects in 12th grade. online application and everything related to admission is available on the website. For taking admission in Scottish church college you should have atleast 90% best of 4 in your 12th boards(although it will slightly depend on department to department). Scottish Church College doesn't take any admission test. The college admits students on the basis of their board exams. So likewise I got admitted to the college through my board exam marks. The eligibility of the course is the percentage of one's board exam marks. The application form can be found in internet on the college's official website, and further more details,like application fees, application dates etc are given on the college website. If anyone asks me that what aspects of the admission process I didn't like, my simple answer is there is nothing that I didn't like about the admission process.
