Remarks
The Admission Process was very organised and smooth. My % was on the low side so I got my admission after 6th cut off, I went to the college office they had multiple admission desks, they took my registration slip, required documents, and made me fill up the college form, get it attested from the Principal and Department Teacher. Then submit the Exam Fees and I was ready to attend college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose English Honors because I was interested in making a career in writing, so it seemed logical to have a degree in Literature, and I wasn't disappointed the course curriculum was so diverse and interesting that I had fun three years. There were 64 students in our batch, 10 being boys and rest were girls. So I made a lot of friends and overall all my batch mates were very good and amiable. The Faculty of the college were very good. Especially our HOD and two other Senior Professors, they were very helpful, their knowledge and hold on the syllabus were great. They encouraged class discussions and pushed us to speak our opinions and views on given subject. The term exams were on time, There weren't any delays in the exam. Although the results came out a bit late than usual. I found it difficult in the first semester because I had switched from Science to English but after the first semester, I passed my exams pretty easily once I got into it.
Internships Opportunities
Multiple Internship opportunities are provided for the students, but again the opportunities for humanities students are limited in comparison to the Bcoms and BCAs. Some of my friends did grab some Internships opportunities and their experience was Ok. I applied for Internships on my own so the college did the best they could do.
Placement Experience
The college placement society is alright. Placement wise there's not much placement scope when it comes to the humanities department but the BCA BCom students get ample opportunities to get placed and the placement ratio of that courses is good.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Fees are very low in comparison to any Private Colleges. It was a mere 12k/year, for three years. There was no fee hike. Financial Assistance is provided for backward class and pwd students. There was no on campus jobs as such for students.
Campus Life
Well the Fest Season starts around January and there's the main Fest of College Aaghaz that's held in the Month of February which is a very big fest, starting January you can almost expect a Fest every week of Some Departments or Societies. The Social Life of the college is at it's peak during the fest season obviously. Our College's library was pretty big and you can almost find every book required for your course even there were some very good novels apart from the course to read, which was a plus point. We had a huge cricket and football ground, there's a basketball and volleyball court as well. There's a Table Tennis room along with some gym equipment. During winters there's a lot of sports competition that takes place. Societies of the college are very active, there's NSS, NCC, Art, and Craft Society, IRIS, Dance societies and much more like Satark and all so overall our college boasted good society numbers.
