Remarks
I applied for Delhi University colleges only. A cut-off list was released and according to the marks of class 12, we can take admission. My marks were 94% and I Did not take admission to the first list. In the second list, I cleared Janki Dev Memorial College, Karol Bagh, and took admission there. In the third cut-off list, my marks came in IPCW and I decided to withdraw from JDM and take admission here. The admission process was simple we needed to submit our documents in the counselling and pay the fee online.
Course Curriculum Overview
As in class 12, I had Humanities, I chose 2 options BA (Hons) English and Psychology and then decided to do English for future references. The students in a class were 35 and in total there were two sections. We had classes from morning to evening with gaps in between and each text was taught by a different teacher. The faculty was highly qualified and experienced, immensely talented, and helped us beyond classrooms. The end semester exams were conducted by Delhi University timely and its difficulty level was moderate.
Fees and Financial Aid
In my first year, I gave 15,000 for a year, and then by the last year, it went to 18,000 for a year. It is affordable but I had no opportunity for a scholarship, financial assistance and there were no placements offered, interviews were also not conducted.
Campus Life
The campus is eco-friendly with lush green grasses and flowers so it feels peaceful to be in the college. Life in college is amazing with good friends, you can enjoy nature, Kamla Nagar is nearby students can visit that market, Hudson Lane, etc. There are annual fests, fests of societies, carnivals, and events go on like Diwali Mela and many more. All the books and journals are available in the library. The library has ample space and is peaceful to sit and read there. Also, you can issue the books and take them home to read. The classrooms have all the amenities required but smartboards are not there in every classroom. There was a compulsory sports period in a week, also there is a gym in the college, swimming pool, games which students can enrol into for their physical fitness. There are many cells like cultural cells, sports club, literary club, Abhivyakti (Nukkad Natak) which run in the college.
Other Applied Colleges
Janki Devi Memorial College | BA (Hons) English
I didn't opt here as IP had better rating, infrastructure, faculty compared to this college
