Remarks

Initially I chose the institution by seeing it's placement statistics and the fact that it's a government college. The first time I visited the campus I was pretty disappointed by seeing that the campus is extremely small. But later on as I started off with my course, I was absolutely in love with it. Almost a year after passing out, I'm still caught up with the place. Best Engineering college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college is affiliated under KTU. The overall syllabus could be improved by bringing in newer technologies and more practical base. But, the faculties are doing a great job covering it. They are friendly and understanding.

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 260000 per year

Placement Experience

Excellent placement opportunities. The placement drives are organized by a set of students and 100s of companies hire from the college. The average package is 6L. Almost 97% of CSE students get placed. Other branches also have stunning placement offers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

65000 per year fee for management quota. 35000 per year for state merit. Additional financial assistance is also provided in which according to the financial background the fee has been reduced to 2000 per year

Campus Life

The life at campus was excellent. There were several opportunities and students club. The main techno managerial fest, Excel is conducted annually by the the students and it helps to mould you. There are also several clubs like IEEE, IEDC, FOSS etc. If you indulge in the activities in college, you're most likely to get out being a self sufficient person. There is also intra arts festival conducted annually.

Placement Experience:

Placement oppertunities are often given during 4th year of our course. Average package is around 3Lakhs per year. Students getting placements are often high but most of the reject the offer for higher studies inorder to get a higher package.

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

MEC EEE REVIEW

I applied to cet, tkm, gec for branches eee and ec My first option was cet for which i couldn't get admission due to my rank. Cet requires rank below 1000. And my second option was mec (my college). MEC Thrikkakkara: Strong Academics and Placements, but Room for Infrastructure Growth

My cousin studied here few years back and is now working a top tech company.I applied for Cs in MSRIT and AMRITA,but the fee structure over there is too high(around 3-4 lakh per year).Here overall fee amount is equivalent the yearly fee.To get admission in MEC,a person needs to write keam exam .Three phases of allotment are held in here.At the beginning of all allotment,we could change our preferences.For CSE BATCH,CUTOFF RANK FOR merit is around 2k and Management around 3.5k .For CSBS it's around 3k for Merit and 7-8k for management....Read More

Good for social life but very minimal infrastructure and facilities

The reason I chose this college over other options were due to the prime location in which it is present and due to the city it is present in . MEC is renowned for the placement opportunities available in this college and is placed in the top 3 colleges in Kerala in terms of placemenets . The admission is based on the student's KEAM rank and this rank decides whether you get the Merit seat or management seat . For others you also have an NRI seat .
