Remarks
As soon as the first cut-off came, I applied in Hansraj College for this course. I didn't apply at any other college because I didn't want to study in a girl's college and also this college had a good reputation, unlike others who were known for the chaos. I didn't avail any quota for admission. Admission criteria was based on minimum marks in PCB subjects which was 95% and minimum age was 17. Admission process went smooth.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this because its practical applications were feasible enough to be imagined in reality. Faculty student ratio was 1:5. According to me, it was fine but as the other batches after me took admission, they were huge in no. and it was hard for them. Every teacher was highly qualified in their field and as for teaching method, it was good on average, with some being more good than others. Term exams were every 6 months and it is not difficult to pass once studied good.
Internships Opportunities
There were no such internship opportunities available to me directly in the college. There were research projects, after their completion, only a certificate was given to us. No stipend was there as such for people with my course.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
Fees were hiked because, at the time, our college was undergoing renovation. The cost was around 20000 23000. I didn't get a scholarship as it wasn't required at the time by me. As for financial assistance, I live with my parents and since the classes went extensively, I didn't have an opportunity to get a job.
Campus Life
Every year annual fest called Confluence was organized in the college from February -March until the pandemic. There are many books and journals available in the library from which we can study. As for the amenities in the classroom, there are wooden long benches. There are ACs in every classroom but their operation is controlled by the staff and is closed mostly after 4.00 PM. There are lots of sports such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, archery, cricket, yoga, etc. There are social groups such as NSS which mostly do social work-related stuff. Many societies such as Photography, Theatre, Environmental awareness, Art (painting), classical dance, modern dance, choreography, singing, poetry club, debating club, society for civil service aspirants, etc. There are societies run by students under the guidance of faculty such as North East society for people celebrating the ethnicity of North East India. There are societies of the departments run by students and has an annual fest.
