Remarks

I am studying in GCELT at salt lake. The reason for choosing this college is its location. I am a general candidate. The admission is based on wbjee rank. The cutoff goes under 7k for IT and 6k for cse and 10k for leather technology

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Teachers are very good, very friendly behavior and very disciplined persons. Not only study but also they help us in many different activities...The student ratio In my department is 40 and in cse 60 & in LT 40(not sure). There is 8 sem in 4 years. and each year there are 2 internals occurred.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There are fewer on-campus internship opportunities but If a student wants internship teachers and seniors helps them...around 60% students make a good project in AI system, Machine learning, ethical hacking, etc..There are many seniors doing their off-campus internships from Amazon,Google, rangrover(car) etc companies. And most of the students go for further studies in IIT and NIT's.and MBA

Placement Experience

4

From 6th sem students are able for placements and internships. There are many companies visit in our college like wipro,TCS,cognizant,Infosys, etc. Around 75% of students got placement from CSE &IT. I heard that The high package was 12lakh in the previous year and the lowest was 3.6lakh. The average package is around 3.6-5lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

6k for Cse/sem 12k for IT/sem 6k for LT/sem(approx) Our college provides Svmcm scholarship for students who are from the West Bengal board. Our college offered a few bit internship opportunities but if a student want offline internships our college allows it . There are many companies that come for on-campus placements.

Campus Life

5

there are around 32k up books in our library. There are many sports like table tennis, football, cricket, and online gaming tournaments arranged by our seniors.. but due to covid, we can't be a part of this cultural fest. I heard that our seniors arrange many coding test games..which gives us motivation about coding

Placement Experience:

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course at HIT builds a strong foundation in core subjects like DSA, DBMS, OS, Networking, etc. making it solid for conceptual clarity and exams. However, it's not fully updated with modern industry trends like AI, cloud, DevOps, FullStack. Practical exposure is limited, so students must rely on self-learning and projects to stay industry relevant and placement ready.

Placement Experience:

The placements at halding Institute of Technology are decent specially for it CSE and allied branches. Many companies from software IT services and 4 sector visit the campus every year. Top recoders include TCS, cognizant, Wipro, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra and other mid level ID firms. Average packages range around 3 to 4 LPA while some top performers rescue higher offers. For branches with fewer campus opportunities students focus on intensive Steel development and certification to enhance emploibility. Those who do not get campus offer higher studies like Mtech MBA competitive exams or startups insuring career growth after graduation.
