Remarks

I applied for IEM, by counselling which was done on the merit of WBJEE and I finally got Information Technology. I selected my college because it provides good placement and has good faculties. Applied for Heritage also, but rejected the college as My college is more renowned for its placement.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose Information Technology because I always dreamt of learning about computers and software. The faculty student ratio was good. Students were not too much in numbers and the faculty was well trained and qualified. They took quarterly exams which were based on their teaching and set good quality questions. There were also doubt clearing sessions which helped us to excel.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Placement Experience

My college is well renowned for placements. 90% of students get placed in at least 1 company, 60% have 2 job offers, 30% have 3 job offers and a few have more than that also. Comapnies visited- CTS,TCS,WIPRO,INFOSYS,CAPGEMINI They offer the role of the software developer. Top package -17-18 LPA Avg package -4 LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees : Per semester -45000, Library fees -5000/semester Hostel fees -60000/year They used to provide some internal scholarships and give some stipends for financial help. I got multiple job offers from on campus replacements which includes Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro. These companies hired bulk students. Few other reputed companies hired few candidates.

Campus Life

The annual fest was good enough which included lots of. celebrities used to hold in February. Tech fest was very entertaining, lots of. innovative ideas used to get identified used to hold in August. Classrooms were well equipped and the labs were also filled with modern instruments. Sports activities were quite a lot like table tennis, cricket, football etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms were good i.e not too much big in size but 2.sharing which allowed us to concentrate on our studies. Rooms contained locker, bed, table, wifi etc. The registration for the hostel was done through college only, fees were 60000 per year. Meal quality was good with lots of variety with both veg and non veg.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

So I take admission through WBJEE in IEM KOLKATA in B.tech in electrical engineering. So now I talked about eligibility criteria:- You should pass your +2 from any board with a maximum of 60% Admission in this college is 3 types WBJEE, JEE MAIN, IEMJEE all three forms you will get notified by college dunia if you have an account in it. So the IEM KOLKATA is one of the best private colleges in Kolkata and you can say in India also so the cuttoff goes very high you have to get minimum rank for this college. Review of My IEM University

When I was searching for the best college to get the admission, some people told me to try for Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) and after I got admitted to this college, I really understood that I selected the right college. I will always prefer this college because discipline is strictly obeyed in IEM and all the teachers are like parents. In 2019, admission was going on offline and it was held around the month of July. This year, due to covid pandemic, the admission process was held around the month of October and from 2nd November, online education started for the first year batch. According to me, the one and only bad aspect is that every semester, Rs. 65,000 is to be paid by each and every student to continue with their education which is quite high according to me.
