Remarks

The minimum requirement for joining the college was getting 75% in 12th boards and qualifying for IEMJEE, an exam held by the college itself. The exam difficulty was average, and it was not that difficult to get into college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course I applied for was Computer Science and Technology, as I thought that this course will provide more practical knowledge than theoretical. The faculty to student ratio is 1:10. Most of the faculty are Phd qualified.There are two mid semester exams and one end semester exam, with an average of the hard difficulty of passing.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 540000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The companies that offer internships include Britannia, NHPC, Deloitte, FedEx, HTC, Hitachi, Havells, and many others. The stipend is around 10-15 thousand. The projects include Soil Quality Testing, Bioremediation of wastewater and soil, Pollution Parameter Estimation, and many others.

Placement Experience

From the 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. The companies include TCS, WIPRO, Videonetics, Cognizant, Tata Motors, and many others. The highest package offered till now is INR 40 lakhs per annum, and the average package offered is INR 4.2 lakhs per annum. Around 90 % of students get placed for jobs. As for my plans after getting the degree, I am thinking of getting qualified for GATE to pursue higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The price hike is around Rs. 10000 for new batches, and the scholarship and financial assistance are quite good if you work hard enough. There are opportunities for internships and jobs too. Scholarship and financial assistance depend solely on your semester marks.

Campus Life

There is an annual fest in December and a tech fest in February named Ureckon. There is a 24*7*365 availability of library with access to many books and journals. The sports activities include pool, football, cricket, badminton, basketball and a few others.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

If you come to this college this college is good the teachers are friendly and you will get the campus from the college if you study hard.

You can take admission in UEM Kolkata through IEMJEE Entrance Test or Direct Admission by giving 10,000/-. College review

Provide decent jobs to most students. Faculties are helpful and teach well. You can issue 3 books at a time from the library once your library card is made. Classes are held to enhance your communication skills. A lot of items in the canteen and cafeteria. No ragging. There is no ground to play. Very strict rules, has a lot of restrictions. Most students call it a jail, cause you cannot bunk classes. But believe me, it will shape you into a good human being and you will also get placed if you put your effort.
