Remarks

This college was my final selection in the WBJEE counselling and I retained it because it is one of the very few institution to provide a BE degree. Although the institution is new and we need larger infrastructure for development.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty student ratio is around 1 to 30. The exams are we graded and we have great deal of PhD professors. There needs to be an improvement in teaching methods.

Placement Experience

There is room for improvement in the placement section. There is a new training and placement officer on duty and there has been improvement. Mahindra was the new best recruiter.

College Events

The college has literary club, entrepreneurship cell and photography club. Photography club and literary manages a fb page while E Cell has a website. Personally I'm part of E-Cell and photography club.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The institution is aided by all standard government funded scholarship and students can avail them without hasle. I was benifited by OASIS there are special grants available from the university as well.

Hostel Facilities

Not availed. I do not avail hostel but alot of students do. I don't have much understanding on that matter. I travel daily to attend college. Please refer to other sources.

Hostel Fee: INR 12000 per year

Admission

No the admission is based on WBJEE where there is objective examination for PCM. The test consists of knowledge of physics, chemistry and mathematics.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Heritage Law College is Lovely!!

Placement Experience:

Number of students who have been placed is far less than what it should be ideally. Kolkata is a paradise for law practice as it is the largest city of India and lawyers have always been in demand here. Still only 30% of the students are placed here and that's a big issue considering the name of our college.

Various companies come to this college for on campus placement Average package= 1000000 Highest package=2200000 Various multi national company and other big and small companies visit this college for on campus placement. Most of the students also get placement opportunities whether large or small package The opportunity is given to all degree whether it be bcom or bcom hons . Any student who does not get placed can easily use the degree to get a high paying off campus placements and to go to any good college or stay in this college for their post graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is backdated and should be improvised as it doesn't give any exposure of present industry knowledge. The frequency of exams is that exams are held after 6 months on semester basis and are easy to pass and majority of the students pass this semester easily.

Decent government college which needs to improve.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is obviously outdated and the knowledge we get through it, is bookish and does not apply to present industry methods. This way we are given no exposure to the real life industry knowledge. The exams are held on semester basis after every 6 months and are easy and manageable.
