Remarks

The college campus makes the students feel more like that of a school with the professors and even the securities being strict and also the fact that it is not mixed makes it a dry and silent campus. But at the end of the day we should not forget that girls are not any less than boys and being womens only college it encourages you to take part compulsorily in all the indoor as well as outdoor activities which girls may not get to do in many mixed colleges as boys remain dominant in all such activities including college elections etc.

Entrance Preview

I took the KEAM, Kerala Engineering Entrance Exam and scored a rank in the range of 13000 which got me a seat in lbs its through seat allotment process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is as per the rules of kerala technical university.A number of electives are also offered in the subsequent years other than first year. The college offers a minimum number of branches to select from when compared to other colleges including civil, electronics and communication, computer science, information technology and applied electronics and instrumentation.

Internships Opportunities

I have no clear idea about it. But as far as I know you have to find where to do the internship at your own risk somewhere outside the college.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement is one of the major factor that attracts many girl students to this college inspite of being a womens'only. Above 90-95% students are placed in many companies including Infosys, Ericcson, IBM, IBS, mu sigma, envestnet, TCS, CTS, UST Global, wipro, amazon etc. Also some of the companies like Ericsson does the recruitment only in 2 or 3 colleges in trivandrum and lbs is one among them.

College Events

4.5

Almost all the regional festivals like onam as well as national festivals like holi are celebrated in the college in a rocking way.The college also offers many opportunities for extra curricular activities including ieee, iedc, nss etc.The college fest Yagna Dhruva is the most celebrated event in the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For merit seats the fees was around 35000 rupees and for management it is around 65000 rupees. The fees further increases for NRI seats.Other expenses include the normal college expenses like pta found, welfare fund etc.The fees are somewhat feasible, especially the merit seats.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no idea about the scholarships and loan facility available in the college.I think some scholarships are offered by the college.in the matter of taking loans I think you have to do it at your risk as the college does not offers it.

Campus Life

3.5

The college campus is more like that of a convent school-strict, disciplined, no bunking of classes allowed. The college canteen is an average one as the food served there are just average type with same dishes everyday.A cooperative store working inside the college sells all the stationary items and also tea, coffee with snacks and soft drinks.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel buildings are under construction. It may get finished by 2017 or 2018. Also there are many other private hostels but not owned by the college in the nearby areas of the college. The hostel that is being constructed is inside the college campus.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are somewhat friendly and helpful. The alumni is always give advice as well as suggestions related to career as well as placement matters.

Exam Structure

Exams are all conducted as per kerala technical university rules and schedules. One or two series exam will be conducted followed by a university exam in each semester. The labs in the college are small, more like a room, but could accommodate around 30 students at a time.

Faculty

3

The satisfaction level on the faculty matter is average. A few professors teaches in a really good way.But some of the office staffs are really lazy and offensive to student's needs.Any needs like getting any kind of certificates or NOCs from the office is really a tough task as they do it for you according to their own convenience.

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably
