Course Curriculum Overview

2

The BTech course curriculum is generally designed to provide a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills preparing students for industry roles and further academic pursuits. The curriculum often focuses on a set of core subjects that lay solid technical foundation for our group c subjects like mathematics, physics, chemistry, civil, graphics, CAD etc can deeply influence our decision especially we have an interest in technology or engineering fields. This curriculum often includes lab workshops, internships and projects which are essential for applying theoretical knowledge to real word problems. Areas for improvement : There is a huge gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills. For placement companies only need students who have skills and talent rather than theoretical marks. College needs to provided classes to increase skills. It's good that my college LBSITW poojapura conducts CGPU classes once in a week. Also it is important to update the curriculum as the technology moves faster that students can align with the standards. Frequency timing and difficulty of exams The difficulty level of exams tends to be high especially in core subjects. The timing of exams can sometimes be stressful particularly if multiple subjects have their examination in a closer time. My college conducts series exams twice in a day ie, morning and afternoon exam leads to huge stress for us.

Internships Opportunities

2

As a first year student I was not aware of the internship opportunities avaible in the college. I heard while admission time that this college provides students for internship qualities and placements.

Campus Life

3

As a first year student I knows only few festivals here are they: Prayaag4.0 : A technical fest conducts in September. Freshers day: For 1st year students conducted by seniors. Onam festival Movie nights Ethnic day : 1 half day program conducted 1pm to 6pm in Feb or March Variety and large quantity of books are available in the library and each subject are divided for avoiding confusion and to select easily. It have 2015,19 scheme books and older ones. Extracurricular activities such as badminton competition, ludo, candy crush, chess, ramp walk are available Few days back an athelete sports meet arranged on University stadium. There conducts 100m,200m,400,800, shotput, discuss throw and rally. Classrooms are arranged in 3 rows in every classroom having around 65 seats. Student run clubs aren't available as the management have restricted such items inside the campus

Admission

My 1st priority was this college and I've successfully achieved that. I've chosen this college mainly as it's near my home town and this college have 3rd position over Kerala for pass result percentage. I have never got rejection from any college as this college was my first priority. For admission process the students must wants to clear keam exam and those who got higher rank will get the seats. Other than keam exams NRI seat and spot admission are there as a few number. Cut off can vary every year depends on the number of students and their ranks.

Faculty

3

Our college has a balanced faculty-student ratio which generally allows for individual attention in class. The faculty members are generally approachable. Some students might find it harder to approach certain professors due to varying teaching styles or availability. Our college typically conducts two series exam for btech students this exams can range from moderately difficult to challenging depending on the subject and the instructor. Some students find certain exams tough especially if they haven't kept up with their syllabus. Like other colleges approximately 38% of students fail to clear the final year exam. The Curriculum is designed by KTU to be technology-relevant that include practical assignments, workshops and mini projects or projects that help students gain hands on experience. Some of us may feel certain that certain aspects of the curriculum theoretical or outdated and may not fully align with the latest technical trends. I like prof.joseph john the faculty of IPR. I likes him as he is very kind to every students and teaches in a different manner that all the students will engaged in the class without falling asleep. Other than a teacher he is like our best friend. Other than him I like all faculties and doesn't have any bad impression on any other teachers. Majority of our faculties will clear the doubts regarding the topic if we ask them.

Interview Experience

5

No the admission was purely based on the keam rank. We wants to pay the 1st year fee during admission including other fees. I prepared for keam 2024 exam and scored my best for getting admission for engineering.

Night Life

4

Nightlife are only available for those who are in college hostel. My friend is a wholesaler and sometimes she will have movie nights. As a woman's college gym isn't available and i wish it will develop soon as nowadays women's also goes to gym. Canning facilities are available from morning to evening upto 5pm. One Library is available and for every subject have different shelf's arranged in an order. Hostelers must enter the time at which they are entering and leaving in the record book. Every night warden takes attendance. Hostelers must reach the hostel before 6.30pm. Due to less area inside the college there isn't any hangout places but outside the college places like Poojappura, Thampanoor, Vazhuthakadu, Palayam, Eastfort etc has food spots and many hangout places are available nearby the college. The locality is in the middle of the city and its safe to roam around at night but be assured that you are in a nearby main road side area.

The campus placements are decent. getting placed in a big company is more about having the technical and soft skills to pass the interviews. the placement training helps us develop soft skills but the technical skills must be developed ourselves.

Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows
