For eligibility into our course, a high class 12th aggregate percentage was needed. The cutoff went to 96.5% for our batch. The application form can be found on the DU UG applications website. In our time we just had to clear the cut-off and then were shortlisted directly for a personal interview which tested our knowledge of the course we had opted for. There was no CUET back in 2018. The exams were held at the end of each semester and were challenging to pass unless one studied extremely well. I applied to KMC for Political Science honors but didn't attend that as I got admission in St. Stephen's. I didn't availed any quota as i am a general category student. The admission is based on the cutoffs according to me marks above 95% is necessary to get admission in desired Programme. I chose St. Stephen's College because it's one the best colleges of not only Delhi university but it is one of the best colleges in India. The admission was merit-based so being 98% holder I had no problem in getting into this esteemed college. I preferred this college over the others due to the following reasons: 1. Best college of Delhi university in the North campus. 2. The infrastructure of the college is very very good and fascinating. 3. The teachers here are so helpful and encouraging. 4. The economics faculty of the college is the best. 5. The college fests and functions are one of the best on the North campus. The faculty in this college is also one of the best. Although being a little strict it is still one of the most preferred colleges in the country. The admission is based on 3 things merit + interview + aptitude test. The forms come out after DU announces its commencing of admissions after that a form has to be filled on the site of st Stephens college and then you may proceed with other steps. There is only one cutoff which ranges from 98-100 for the general category, I chose this college as it seems to have the best faculty and of course one of the best alumni who has contributed a lot to the country. It is a highly reputed college with extremely knowledgeable and dedicated teachers. The students too strive for excellence in academics and extra-curricular activities. The infrastructure of the college, especially the residence(hostel) blocks can certainly be improved. More courses can be introduced. St. Stephen's College is the only college among several colleges to have an artificial climbing wall.
