I applied to KMC for Political Science honors but didn't attend that as I got admission in St. Stephen's. I didn't availed any quota as i am a general category student. The admission is based on the cutoffs according to me marks above 95% is necessary to get admission in desired Programme. I chose St. Stephen's College because it's one the best colleges of not only Delhi university but it is one of the best colleges in India. The admission was merit-based so being 98% holder I had no problem in getting into this esteemed college. I preferred this college over the others due to the following reasons: 1. Best college of Delhi university in the North campus. 2. The infrastructure of the college is very very good and fascinating. 3. The teachers here are so helpful and encouraging. 4. The economics faculty of the college is the best. 5. The college fests and functions are one of the best on the North campus. With educators who stop at nothing to provide students with a holistic approach to perceive and analyze the course material, I wanted to associate with it for a long time. The college comes with a tag of being one of the best colleges for humanitarian subjects in the country. When coming to college you will realise that it provides you with the exposure you need. The faculty in this college is also one of the best. Although being a little strict it is still one of the most preferred colleges in the country. The admission is based on 3 things merit + interview + aptitude test. The forms come out after DU announces its commencing of admissions after that a form has to be filled on the site of st Stephens college and then you may proceed with other steps. There is only one cutoff which ranges from 98-100 for the general category, I chose this college as it seems to have the best faculty and of course one of the best alumni who has contributed a lot to the country. It is a highly reputed college with extremely knowledgeable and dedicated teachers. The students too strive for excellence in academics and extra-curricular activities. The infrastructure of the college, especially the residence(hostel) blocks can certainly be improved. More courses can be introduced. St. Stephen's College is the only college among several colleges to have an artificial climbing wall. The different opportunities to explore different areas of learning other than class room studies. Most importantly the crowd of students from all over our country. There is freedom in choosing the discipline for my course in the beginning and you will be exposed to all the major discipline subject before you make a choice.
