Remarks

Only college to give admission solely on the basis of JEE mains and not include the combined score of JEE + Board. Placement record, infrastructure, the city, crowd, everything is good. Had got good scholarship on the basis of mains score.

Course Curriculum Overview

Wasn't provided industrial experience. Curriculum was a deviation from my selected field of study for the first 2 years. First 2 years were common for all branches. Good faculties include Karan Saxena, Maneek Kumar.

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 1500000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I interned in OYO Rooms fir a stipend of 45k per month. Got full time offer at the same place.

Placement Experience

All major companies including Amazon, DE Shaw, Rubriks, Microsoft, GS, Sabre etc visit the campus. Mass recruiters including TCS, Wipro also visit.

College Events

There were societies including NGOs, dance societies, art and craft, spiritual, environmental etc. We had several fests with artists such as Badshaah, and other Punjabi singers and actors. There were also serval inter college competitions

Fees and Financial Aid

I'd recieved a 50% waiver on my tuition fees based on my mains score and for being in the top 10% in my branch

Campus Life

All hostels, classes, cafeteria had good quality wifi. Hostels were like hotels but with equally large rents. All labs had sufficient equipment. Sports included badminton, cricket, football, table tennis and a swimming pool.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms have ac, wifi, single seater and double seater rooms. Average rental would be around 40k for a semester for single seater and 25k for double seater. Sufficient beds to accomodate all students.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

LPU Jalandhar is a nest!

Placement Experience:

Over a crore package too have been inked form LPU, CSE and that itself is more than enough to justify my call to Study here. Highest package was of 1.03 crores and average still stands at 8 lakhs around. The big thing is nearly 2500 students in CSE and still all are finding a shot to try for placements.

Like at IET

Course Curriculum Overview:

I went for CSe bcz it has best career scope. The curriculum is comprehensive but a bit heavy. It touches almost all topics but didn't go deep into latest tech like AI or Cloud computing, which was a drawback. Improvements? Definitely the teaching style. Some profs are good but many rush through the syllabus to finish it. They should include more project based learning instead of just theory exams. Exams are manageable. We have typical sem system. Timing is predictable but sometimes the schedule is very tight with no gaps between papers. Difficulty wise its okay, most students study a week before exams and manage to clear them.

Placement Experience:

In btech form the 8th semester students become eligible for campus placements. the highest placement is for 70,00,000 Lpa in btech. students of MBA also hold chances for placements. The placements are not in big 4 but still in genuine and great companies.

My Journey and experience at my College

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate and usually starts from the 7th Semester . A few Service based Companies visit with average packages of 3-4 Lpa . Around 40 - 50 % students get placed. I plan to upskill and pursue higher studies or better job opportunities

Khalsa college amritsar Pros cons

Placement Experience:

They provide placement in last year of course. The students visited the Reliance stores, amazon, icici prudentials etc. , Highest package given is 7 lac per annum and average is 5 lac per annum. 80% Students got placements each year. My plans is to pursue my llb degree in khalsa college of law amritsar after completing bcom degree and part time job

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here....Read More
