A brief review of AIIMS , Bathinda by a student studying there

Since we all know MBBS is course for being a doctor . As being doctor was a dream of mine i chosed this course.MBBS course is quite hectic but this is required since after completion of course we will become doctors and patients like will be in our hands. Frequency and timing of exams is already discussed in previous question.

1 year internship is there after final year . A stipend of 30,070 / month is given . Interns have to work in every department. Other college students can also apply for internship but they will not get stipend .

There is one time fees of 5856 taken during admission. This fees is of whole course . No other feed is taken after that . This amount includes registration fees , caution money ,tution fees ,laboratory fees , student union fees, hostel rent, gymkhana fees , pot fund , electricity charge,mess security, hostel security. Out of 5856 , 1500 is refundable after the course. There is no compensation of category on fees.

There is no proper college fest in our college yet . But every festival is celebrated. There is a sports week and sports tournament held typically in February. Infuse is a 3 days academic event held in october . Library is really vast , it has every book of every academic subject . But novels etc. are not there in library. Many journals , research paper are present in library . Computer lab is also there along with wifi .many subscription of journal website is there in library . Sitting facility is also present. Classroom have comfortable chair and table . Projector along with whitw screen is there , podium and white board is also present. Sports like volleyball, basketball, badminton , chess , table tennis , cricket etc. are there . There is no proper sports complex yet but basketball court , badminton courts , TT table are there. Many club are there such as dance club , film and drama club , music club , sports club , humanities club etc . Many activities take place from time to time in these clubs . There is not much city life in bathinda but campus really nice

There is 2 students in one room . 2 almirah , 2 study table and chair , 2 study lamp and tubelight . 2 beds ate also provided. Hostle fees 990 is already included in fees during admission. Students are not allowed to live outside campus,hence students are obliged to live in hostels.

During councilling is applied for AIIMS Delhi,AIIMS Reshikesh and AIIMS Jodhpur. But since there cut off was higher , i was not able to get admission in them . I was also alloted SMS, jaipur . But since AIIMS is a intitute of national importance . AIIMS have less fees and better infrastructure, small batch size. NEET is the exam to be given to get admission. Admission is based upon the rank .50% is required in class 12 th . There is no age limit.

All departments have faculty . There is not a single department which doesn't have faculty. Faculty is very experienced and are doctor which have completed there degree from reputated medical institute in India like AIIMS Delhi, PGI chandigarh etc. many faculty members have also practiced in US and other countries. Faculty consists of very good teachers who makes the class interesting. Teachers are very approachable . Some teachers are moody ( as present in every institue????) . Some teachers are strict . But they all have a be large pool of knowledge . There are 9 semesters in whole course. 1st year have 2 semester ,after semesters there is pre-proff and final proff exams.2nd year have 3 semesters and after that pre-proff snd proff exams . 3rd year have 2 semester than pre-proff and proff exams . Final year have 2 semsters and than pre-proff and proff exams. Many other test of evey subjest takes place time to time , which are included in internal assessment.

There is no gym inside the campus , but gym is their within the range of 2 km outside the campus. Some good cafes are their on 100ft rood. Hostel time is 10 pm . Campus is safe . Bathinda is not that safe at night but campus is safe . There is no such night life in bathinda .
