Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Now the curriculum is more competency based and it is more of an integrated study rather than studying individual subjects And we have our clinical postings got started right from second prof which helps in early clinical exposure and helps to gain our practical knowledge Exams are held at the end of every prof that is yearly and difficulty level is moderate

Internships Opportunities

3.5

That one year internship is a paid internship and it is compulsory for everyone who pass the final prof . In this you are appointed as an intern under various departments and you have to serve there for variable periods of time

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is 5.5 years long course with 4.5 years of study and 1 yr of internship As of 2019 the course fee of first year used to be 80000 only with a hike of 10% every year making upto a total of about 4-5 lacs But as of now the fees structure has been hiked up by the university to 1.8 lac in first year with an increment of 10% every year Other than this there is no as such registeration fees or admission fees that fees you have to pay to the university during counselling Scholarships for students under categories are given And also cash prizes are given to the highest scorer in class in subjects of physiology and community medicine

Campus Life

3.5

There are lot conferences that are being held in this college and other programs like als and bls programs Alomg witj this , this year a fest is happening in this college Frequent sports events also happen

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Tgere are three different types of hostels for girls out which two of them are very good with good ventilation and environment but the third one that is g block is not much good on the basis of hygiene as dogs roam in this hostel

Admission

There is whole process of counselling through which you get admission to such a prestigious college and i chose this college due to many reasons , first I scored more than the cutoff marks that were required to get admission to this college, second i wanted to live in this city and explore its delicacies , third this is a hundred years old college so it is very prestigious institution and also the patient load of the hospital is from various nearby cities due to whicj there arw wide variety iof cases

Faculty

3.5

Faculty student relationship is very good and faculty is easily approachable , we can go anytime during college hours to them and ask about any doubt and they are more than happy to help us There are like final exams at the end of every prof but in between there are class tests and mid terms for our preparation

Mbbs study is bit tough but you can cope up with it if you've good gompany to enjoy the phase of life. The curriculum is bit tad and vast. You need to work hard and smart to achieve it. Everyone have differ style for studying and everyone should deal with it their own. Don't see others and compare yourselves with them!

The new curriculum is too good because now its baaed upon competencies a medical studtent should achieve after graduating, which is necessary so indeed it prepare us for the real world applications The teaching method now used is mostly on ppt's which can be changed to a better mode like using boards to engage student in a better way according to me And the exams ,wether its formative assessment or send ups or the final exams are planned very correctly so that a student can prepare for the finals in a way that it doesn't build up too much pressure on the students
